Extended Summary

Leah’s hesitant about Dan’s suggestion that they elope. She thinks they’re totally over-reacting, until they hear Noelene and Helen arguing again. It’s the final straw for Leah, she turns to Dan – Let’s do it! Hayley, Peter and Sally meet up to head off to the chapel – but Dan and Leah were in such a rush they forgot the rings. Leah leaves Stella a message to hold on to VJ as Dan comes out of the chapel and tells her everything is organised.

Scott stands hesitant outside Josie’s door to return her mobile phone. He’s about to knock when he hears a scream inside. He rushes in to find Josie standing on a small table. There was a mouse in the boxes from the resort. Scott hunts for the mouse, amused by this new side to Josie.

Sally emerges from Leah’s room zipping up her handbag (the rings). Helen’s suspicious, but Sally is quick to leave. Helen turns to Noelene – something’s going on, she can smell a conspiracy a mile off. Stella rings, responding to Leah’s message and hopes it all goes well with the wedding. Noelene and Helen share a stunned look – wedding!? Noelene and Helen get in Dan’s car (an old rusty bomb). Noelene hasn’t driven a manual in years and as she hits the accelerator, the gears grind and the car bunny hops down the road. Helen’s mortified! Meanwhile, Hayley, Peter and Sally arrive at the chapel and meet up with Dan and Leah. Leah tells them they better get started – before she chickens out. The smiling group head for the altar…

Scott is still looking for the mouse. Thinking she sees/feels something, Josie jumps, loses her balance and falls off the chair on top of Scott. Josie’s feelings are growing for this guy and the close physical contact causes them to share another moment. Awkward, Scott breaks it when he sees and catches the mouse. After disposing of the mouse he’s about to head off when a courier drops off a couple of bottles of wine from the organiser of the singles night. Josie offers Scott a drink. He’s a bit hesitant given what just happened, but Josie tries to brush over it – It’s only a drink.

Noelene screeches to a halt outside a small chapel. The celebrant is getting to the ‘if anyone here objects to this union’ just as Noelene and Helen burst into the chapel, screaming for the wedding to stop. However, it’s the wrong wedding. At the right chapel, Dan and Leah’s celebrant begins the ceremony. Meanwhile, Noelene and Helen race along in Dan’s car. As Leah’s about to say ‘I do’, Noelene and Helen race inside… Leah has it out with Helen and the Mothers promise they won’t interfere anymore – as long as they don’t get married like this.

Josie and Scott talk about their recent doomed relationships. Scott laments that his problems with Hayley all stem from the fact the baby isn’t his. Unseen by them, the file which proves Scott is the father is sitting in a box nearby. After the wedding, Hayley shares a moment with Sally. Despite all the problems of late, she can’t help but wonder if she’s been too hasty putting their relationship with Scott on hold. Meanwhile, Scott and Josie are very tipsy. Josie leans forward to kiss Scott. Stunned, he momentarily pulls back, but the pull is too strong and he starts to return her kiss passionately.
