Extended Summary
Mitzy has had a stroke, Sid and Marilyn care for her as they wait for the ambulance. Mitzy tries to speak, but it’s too difficult. Marilyn is wracked with guilt, blaming herself for getting Mitzy worked up. Sid reassures her that she isn’t to blame, and Marilyn confides that she was unsure about Mitzy’s abilities. The ambulance takes a while, and Sid isn’t sure that Mitzy will recover, the longer it takes, the more likely that Mitzy will have brain damage. Marilyn feels terrible, she hasn’t been there for Mitzy the way Mitzy helped her – but Sid continues to assure Marilyn that she has been more than accommodating to Mitzy. In hospital, Mitzy comes round and Marilyn apologises for their arguement. Mitzy manages to tell Marilyn that she made up the end date. Sid was right and Mitzy wants to see him. Sid goes in to see her and Mitzy tells him that she didn’t make it up – she saw her death, but she wants Marilyn to live without limits. she tells Sid to look after her, just before she dies. Marilyn is devastated.
Indi and Romeo are back on track, but she confides in Romeo that she is still processing the affair between her Mum and Owen, her ex. That’s also partly why she backed off – the last time she let her guard down, she got let down. Romeo thinks she should talk to her Mum about it, but Indi can’t bring herself to do that yet. Romeo suggests a letter, but Indi settles on an email, and they begin to work on it together, drafting in Leah for advice on how to word it. But Indi is still holding a lot of anger, and she is having trouble writing anything that will be a constructive, and Leah points out that parents won’t respond well to attack. She goes through several options before settling on a short, to the point email, which will hopefully get her Mum to call.
Dex is enjoying having his fish as a pet, and he goes to pick up more supplies. At the store, things become flirty between him and Adrian. She mentions that they’re dating, which comes as a surprise to Dex. But a pleasant one. He decides to take her on a first date and they head to the Surf Club.
But Dex is nervous, he doesn’t want to screw it up, and halfway through he runs off to get Indi and Romeo for advice. When he returns, Adrian has left, leaving him a note telling him not to call her again. His plan to get help has completely backfired.
