Miles reveals that Kirsty’s pregnant. Against her better judgment, Nicole agrees to meet with Liam. Tony tries to fill the void in Gina’s life now that she won’t be looking after Brendan.
Extended Summary
Ruby is talking to Nicole about her feelings for Geoff and admits that she doesn’t want to hurt Xavier all over again after he failed to remember breaking up with her following his accident. Meanwhile, Nicole gets a message from Liam asking to meet with her, but she ignores it and brushes off Ruby’s questioning. Liam talks to Nicole and admits that he’s back in town because everyone knows him and his problems and won’t let him relapse. Aden, having overseen Nicole and Liam talking, chats to her about the happenings in her life and Nicole admits that she’s been so off track as far as men are concerned recently, and Aden offers her his support. Later, Aden suggests to Liam to leave town, but Liam refuses and Aden ends up punching him.
Miles is wanting to tell people about Kirsty’s pregnancy but she’s not as keen to share the news and is worried about how Ollie will react. However, when Miles and Kirsty are talking to Rachel and Tony in the Diner, Miles lets slip about Kirsty’s pregnancy. Kirsty isn’t impressed and the couple end up in an argument, during which Kirsty admits that deciding to proceed with the pregnancy was a mistake.
With Bartlett preparing to go on long service leave, he asks Miles to take over as acting principal at the high school, but Miles turns down the offer. Later, Tony suggests that Bartlett contact Gina about taking on the position, but Rachel feels it is a bad idea to put Gina forward without speaking to her. Rachel can’t help but voice her concerns over Tony’s actions as the relationship between the couple continues to slowly fall apart.
