Ruby and Geoff arrive home. Ross makes a decision about his future. Nicole’s attraction to Sid increases. Aden lashes out at Nicole and Alf.
Extended Summary
Ruby wants to find her biological father, but Geoff isn’t convinced it is the best idea. He urges Ruby to talk to Charlie before she does anything and Ruby agrees. Meanwhile, she continues to ignore Xavier’s calls after he accused her of cheating on him with Geoff. Later, the two open up about the problems in their life and Geoff admits he’s starting to accept the fact Belle’s gone.
Nicole is beginning to develop feelings towards Sid and tries to use the excuse she has an assignment due to avoid spending time with him and Indigo. However, when Sid introduces the girls to a nurse from the hospital, Nicole is jealous. When Nicole drops by the Walkers’ and finds Sid entertaining his colleague, she warns him to be careful in case Indigo and Dexter find out but Sid insists what he does in his private life is none of Nicole’s business.
With Ross’s condition worsening, Morag suggests that it might be time for them to return to the city. However, Ross refuses and lashes out at Morag, telling her he’s not leaving while his girls need him. Later, Charlie talks to Morag and wonders whether the situation with Ruby is making Ross’s condition worse. She adds that maybe Rachel is right and it’s time for Ross to go into full-time care. Morag isn’t sure how to broach the subject with Ross and Charlie says that whatever Morag decides, she’ll support her.
The next day, Ross talks to Morag and tells her that he thinks it’s time he went into full-time care. Despite Ruby insisting that Ross doesn’t have to go into care just yet, he tells her it’s time and unwittingly lets slip the surname of Ruby’s father. Later, Ross says his goodbyes to those he loves before leaving for the nursing home.
Aden is continuing to struggle with his grief over Belle’s death. Later, Nicole tells him that Roman has sold his share of the Diner to Leah and used the money to pay off the mortgage on the townhouse. He’s also put the house in her name, making her Aden’s landlady. However, thinking Nicole is there to throw him out, Aden tells her he’ll move out despite Nicole’s protests that it was never her intention to evict him. After a visit from Alf, Aden looks at one of Belle’s letters. Angered, he throws the container of letters and ends up cutting his hand in the process.
While Charlie confides in Leah about the situation with Ruby, Ruby – armed with the surname Bledcoe – hunts through Charlie’s old high school yearbooks in search of her father and is shocked to find someone by the name of Grant Bledcoe.
