Extended Summary

After finding the rose, Chloe’s shaken – she can’t believe Troy’s found her… She calls Jesse to come over and he contacts the police, but despite Fitzgerald’s attempts to reassure Chloe, the AVO is virtually useless. Once Fitzgerald’s gone, Chloe tells Jesse how it feels to have been tracked down by Troy and the constant fear she lives with day to day. Panicking, Chloe insists she has to go and starts to pack frantically. Jesse pleads sense – there’s no point running again. At least here she’s safe – he’ll make sure of that. Chloe is worked up, almost hysterical…until she breaks down – she’s just so scared… Jesse holds her in his arms as she cries.

Ric tries to talk to Cassie concerned their relationship is on the line – but Cassie’s not interested. He realises he needs a plan of action and tries to master the kitchen. However, Ric’s efforts to be Jamie Oliver end up with a huge mess all over the place. Defeated, Ric picks up his mobile and types a text message – ‘I need your help’.

Chloe gets a text message from Troy, indicating that he is watching her – now! Chloe’s spooked! Angry, Jesse races out to look for him. Outside, he sees a car race off. Sally, Flynn and Jesse take her back to the house to have dinner. It’s going well and Chloe’s looking the most relaxed she’s been since she’s arrived – until, the Beach House phone rings. Not thinking twice, Chloe grabs it and answers, still laughing from Sally’s stories. But it’s a hang-up and Chloe is clearly rattled, as she reveals that Troy’s got this number now…

The house is set up romantically. Candles, a beautifully set table, flowers, music playing etc. Cassie arrives home, and is taken aback by what she sees. There’s no one around, then Ric appears he has a single rose for Cassie. Cassie can’t help but smile – it’s clear she likes the effort that Ric has gone too. After dinner, Ric declares that there’s nothing going on with him and Matilda, there never was… he admits he was protective of her – even before he knew Cassie. But she’s not the one who has his heart. Cassie is completely won over and admits that she loves him too.

Jesse’s pacing, wishing he could do something. The phone rings again and Jesse’s really angry. Shaken, Chloe, warns him off answering but Jesse finally explodes and takes the call, threatening Troy to stop or he’ll have him to deal with! Chloe’s clearly unimpressed – has he just made things worse for her? Then… SMASH! A brick’s thrown through the window…

Fitzgerald and another officer are leaving, having attended the scene. Chloe, who’s been quiet and introspective, doesn’t want comfort from Jesse. She rips in to him, telling him he’s made things a hundred times worse! Feeling bad, Jesse goes…

Jesse’s walking home from the dinner when a figure rushes up behind him and knocks him out. The figure rushes off. Jesse lays there, out cold.
