Extended Summary

Colby emerges from his van just as Leah is coming past and asks her what she recommends at the Diner. Leah suggests the moussaka. She goes to Jasmine’s van with clean towels. Jasmine is looking at her phone and notes David hasn’t stopped texting and e-mailing. Leah wonders if she should change her number. Jasmine says she’s already done that once and deleted her social media. Leah invites her to the house for dinner. Up at the house, Roo asks Alf why he was certain Martha was dead if there was no body. Alf says the police did an investigation, reminding her of them being at the house, and he had no reason to doubt the outcome: Martha had never mentioned wanting to leave. He says years later he got a letter from her saying she was alive and had chosen to leave. He notes Roo was angry at him, Ailsa and the world at the time and he felt showing it to her might make things worse. Leah and Jasmine come in but quickly realise they’re interrupting and leave. Jasmine wants to go back to her van but Leah suggests they go to the Diner and see Colby.

At the Morgan house, Justin is telling Brody and Mason that Tori has gone away for a while after Ash broke up with her. Both of them thinks it’s rough for Ash to do that after Tori supported him through everything with the River Boys. Justin admits it’s more complicated than that, saying there’s something that Ash knows but they can’t tell anyone else, especially Raffy: He and Tori have been helping Robbo, treating him and keeping him safe. Brody asks where. After Justin has explained, Mason realises that’s why he kept Raffy at the Palmers’ and didn’t want her visiting the house. Justin insists there was no danger but Brody reminds him he’s still on parole and wonders what will happen if Ash says something. Both Brody and Mason go to their rooms, leaving Justin with Buddy.

Leah and Jasmine arrive at the Diner and approach Colby, telling him about the texts. Colby asks if she’s thought about changing her number and Jasmine explains she’s thinking about changing the AVO to ban all contact. Colby confirms it would need to be lodged in Yabbie Creek but says there’s no reason David would trace her. He says if David texts or e-mails her there would be consequences, maybe jail. Jasmine decides to do it. Since he’s only getting a takeaway, Colby heads off to sort it. Back at the house, Roo asks Alf if he ever told Ailsa or his sisters. Alf says she’s the only one. Roo can understand not telling her as a child but says she’s been an adult a long time. Alf says he didn’t want to bring her down and says he’s convinced Martha didn’t mean to hurt her and loved her.

Next morning, Colby brings Jasmine a copy of the amended AVO and tells her that David’s been informed: If he breaks it, Jasmine needs to tell the police. Justin crosses the park to Willow’s van, shooting awkward looks at Colby as he does so. He tells her that he told Mason and Brody. Willow thinks he should have kept quiet but Justin assures her their family’s good at keeping secrets. Meanwhile, Jasmine meets Leah outside the Diner. She checks her phone but says she’s heard nothing from David: However, she is still nervous, thinking he’s planning something. Leah suggests that this is what Jasmine wants and it’s finally over.

Inside the Diner, Brody and Mason are chatting about what they learned. Brody is beginning to accept Justin and Tori were protecting them but Mason says they made the decision without them. Irene has overheard some of it and asks what’s going on. They pretend they were talking about the River Boys. With Colby in earshot at the counter, Irene suggests they’ll leave now Robbo’s been caught but tells the pair to make ground rules at Salt and the gym. Outside the surf club, Justin and Willow run into Colby, who wants to talk to Willow and says if she doesn’t do it here he’ll find a reason to take her to the station. Willow sends Justin inside. She stalks towards Colby but he says she only gets one shot. He asks if she’s told Justin and his family about him, since they’re strange around him. He also asks about Dean being in town and how many of the old crowd are about. Willow mentions Colby’s tattoo. Colby tells her to get Justin to sort out whatever’s going on.

Marilyn is visiting Alf with some food, such as carrot sticks. Alf says Roo has gone out for a walk and notes they had a long talk last night. He observes that he couldn’t have kept the truth from her forever but thinks they’re moving past it. Marilyn extols the virtues of vegetarian food. At the gym, Justin asks Willow if Colby knows about them and frets that their history is that he arrested her. Willow calms and kisses him but they’re interrupted by Mason. Justin follows him into the office and says nothing bad happened. Mason disagrees: He and Brody found out they can’t trust Justin and Tori.

At the Diner, Irene and Leah comment on how Jasmine seems less stressed. At that moment, Jasmine gets a text from David saying “You’ll regret this” and gives a yell of frustration. Leah tells her not to delete it: They need to show it to Colby. The two of them head to the police station. Colby tells Jasmine to text the message to him. Later, he meets Jasmine and Willow at the caravan park and tells them David’s been arrested and charged with breaking the AVO and intimidation. Jasmine is delighted and hugs him. She wonders if that was weird but Colby doesn’t mind.

Buddy is whining so Brody decides to take him out for a walk. Justin comes home and they joke about how Buddy used to be useful for meeting women until Brody had a girlfriend. Brody isn’t happy about what happened but accepts Justin and Tori want the best for them and says Mason will too eventually. However, he thinks the situation with them living in each other’s pockets and knowing everything about each other’s lives isn’t good and is thinking of moving out. Down on the beach, Willow is drying herself off as Colby sits nearby and asks her how it is. She wonders if he still owns a surf board and he says he’s a cop, not dead. He confirms the police don’t know about him and the River Boys, since gang affiliations aren’t allowed: He wants to stay in Summer Bay but can’t if she doesn’t keep quiet about his past, asking her to do it for old times’ sake. Willow suggests Dean might not be as co-operative.

Roo arrives back from her walk. Alf tries to make small talk about where she went and Ryder. Roo tells him to stop and asks if he’d have told her if he hadn’t thought he was dying. Alf doesn’t answer. Roo says he did it not for her but to salve his conscience, and he stopped her having a relationship with her mother. Alf says Martha did that when she walked out. Roo says she’s sick of being lied to and is moving out.
