Extended Summary
A police raid on the farmhouse Simmo claimed that Andy and Josh Barrett were hiding out in yields no results as Evelyn bustles in during the raid, with Matt not far behind. Evelyn confesses afterward she reacted so hastily because she needed closure, still clearly not over Josh, and her worry for the fugitive grows as Kat tells her of the dire condition of inside the home and shack behind it. When Kat finds Matt she explains Evelyn isn’t handling it well, so Matt decides to head back to the house before the police can arrive and see what they can find. Shocked by the state of the shack, Evelyn’s concern grows again. Matt finds a sketch of Evelyn, clearly drawn by Josh and he pockets it just as Kat bursts in, gun drawn. At the station, Kat reads them the riot act – If anyone else had caught them, Evelyn and Matt could be suspected for helping the Barrett brothers. Back at the house, Matt offers up the sketch, against his better judgements and self-interest. Leaving her with it, Evelyn sobs over Josh.
Following the CareFlight organisation’s awareness of Nate’s bad shoulder and jeopardising his chances with them, he is insisting the hospital investigate such a breach of confidentiality – any doctor found exposing Nate’s problem could be fired. Tori decides to all on the sword for Mason, confessing to Nate it was her and resigning. He can’t believe she’d do this. But at the same time, he has been invited to the conference in Bali following Tori’s late withdrawal and he accepts. Following an awkward interaction at the Diner between the pair, Irene and Marilyn suggest perhaps Tori told the CareFlight people just to keep him her, close to her, especially now that Duncan has left. Nate catches up with Tori and accepts her apology and lets her know he won’t be requesting the investigation. Furthermore she’s a great doctor and simply must unresign. Tori, flattered, asks Nate for a drink on return from his trip to Bali.
Raffy is catching on to the fact the Morgans may not be who the say they are. Sick of being ignored and not getting answers and tired of all the secrets and arguments behind closed doors her new family have, she steals a wad of bills from Justin’s wallet and takes off.
