Extended Summary

Justin and Tori are squabbling. Tori wants to go to a medical conference in Bali, and noting an ex-boyfriend, Riley Hawkins will be there, wants to attend under her birth name Tessa Lee but Justin claims it’s too dangerous, as Mason backs his brother – it’s insane! Their fighting wakes a confused Raffy, who knows nothing of their secret passed lives.
The next day, Mason is trying to convince Tori not to go to the conference when Nate enters, fresh from a run, and undoes all of Mason’s work by romancing the idea of a Balinese junket. Tori teases Nate about his strained shoulder, and warns of doing too much exercise before the CareFlight physical exam. Usually the Morgan’s voice of reason, Tori is determined to go. She needs closure after how she left things with Riley. But Justin, who can sympathise with her missing her old life, forbids it. It’s Mason however who intervenes too far, by calling the CareFlight examiners, falsifying his identity to claim to have information about Nate’s poor fitness, with the intention that he’ll fail the CareFlight test and go to Bali instead. Unaware of this, though, Tori has second thoughts, apologises to Mason for being unreasonable, and withdraws herself from the conference, just as Nate comes around the corner having just been told about the informant and breach of doctor-patient confidentiality. Since it’s been Tori treating him, he is quick to blame her in front of a guilty Mason. Later a confession from Mason to Tori has her angered why he’d jeopardise his career like that, but she is unwilling to throw her little brother to the medical board as further fruitless conversations with the CareFlight people have Nate wanting blood…

At the hotel, Kat has been waiting for Ash but when he arrives, he’s clearly agitated. She suspects it’s something that went down at Simmo’s but Ash isn’t willing to talk, leaving in a huff. The next morning Ash is called into the Police Station to sign his statement to help put Simmo away, when Simmo arrives, threatening to kill Ash for ‘what he did to his girlfriend’. Kat defends Ash to McCarthy but makes Ash come clean. Later a few choice words from Justin has Ash realise this kind of trouble isn’t Ash, and he needs to fix it to be happy. At the beach Ash finds Kat and apologises for all the trouble he’s caused. Neither of them are acting like themselves… Back at the police station, Simmo tries to offer Kat and McCarthy a deal, leniency based on the fact he knows where Andy and Josh Barrett are hiding out…

Matt and Evelyn are fresh from a swim and their friendly banter is on high as they head to the Diner for breakfast where Roo picks up the pair’s overt flirtiness. Kat returns home to find Evelyn making a ‘thank you picnic basket’ for Matt, as Kat eyes Evelyn the way Roo did. Evelyn admits she likes Matt, it might be going beyond friendship and Kat lets her know she can allow herself to let go of Josh. However at the picnic, just as Matt and Evelyn are about to kiss, they’re interrupted by Evelyn’s phone – it’s Kat, she wants to inform Evelyn they might have the location of Andy and Josh and wanted her to know before Evelyn saw it on the news. With that, Evelyn is in her car and heading for the abandoned house in question, leaving Matt on the side of the road…
