Miles confronts Sid about Nicole. Charlie tells Morag and Angelo about what happened with Grant. Ruby moves back in with Irene.
Extended Summary
Unaware that Annie is watching, Nicole tells Sid about the romantic weekend away she has planned for them but Sid turns her down and insists that he’s not interested in her romantically. After a cold confrontation with Nicole, Annie confides in Irene about what she saw and Irene insists that Miles needs to know what is happening between Nicole and Sid.
After Nicole and Sid clash in the Diner and Colleen comments that their disagreement seemed like a lovers’ tiff, Annie and Irene inform Miles about the situation involving Nicole and Sid. While Miles wants to confront Sid and Nicole over the matter, Kirsty insists that doing so may just drive Nicole into Sid’s arms. However, with Alf siding with him, Miles confronts Sid over his close friendship with Nicole and, following an admission from Sid that he may have been flirting with Nicole, heated words are exchanged before Miles knocks Sid into the pool.
Ruby insists that Charlie can’t let Grant get away with what he did to her, but Charlie reminds her daughter that what she did to Grant was highly illegal. Later, Charlie agrees to tell Angelo about kidnapping Grant and trying to force a confession out of him. Angelo is shocked and disappointed but admits that it may not be too late to pin something on Grant. However, Charlie is adamant that Grant is too smart for that.
Charlie and Ruby visit Ross at the nursing home and Charlie tells Ruby that she wasn’t a mistake, in fact she is the best thing to happen to her. Inside, Ruby pushes Charlie to tell the truth to Morag and Ross, but Charlie refuses. Alone with Morag, Ruby reveals to her about Charlie kidnapping Grant. Morag is unimpressed and insists that no one else can find out about what happened – especially Ross. Back home, Charlie and Ruby clash over what happened and Ruby announces that she’s moving back in with Irene.
Kirsty has her first ultrasound and Miles can’t hide his excitement at the impending birth of their child.
