Extended Summary

Ruby is worried that she can’t get hold of Charlie and confides to Morag that she feels as though, due to Charlie being assaulted, she is a mistake. While Morag tries to reassure her she’s not, Ruby hears from Xavier that he saw Charlie back in town. Meeting with her boyfriend, something is triggered in Ruby’s mind when Xavier mentions to her about women going crazy in movies.

Charlie has taken Grant captive, tied him to a chair and is trying torture techniques in a desperate bid to get him to confess to his wrongdoings of the past. As Charlie steps up her campaign to get Grant to confess, Ruby bursts in and tries to talk her biological mother out of harming Grant any further.

Charlie opens up to Ruby and reveals that Grant called her a sooky little kid as she cried following her attack. When Charlie leaves the room, Ruby rushes and helps to untie Grant. When Charlie returns an argument breaks out and Grant comments that Charlie is a sooky little kid and Ruby is horrified to realise that everything Charlie has told her about Grant is true. Ruby steps forward and slaps Grant. After letting Grant go, Ruby agrees to move back in with Charlie and promises to keep what’s happened just between them.

Morag talks to Alf and Geoff about Aden’s grief and suggests that working for Irene might help Aden overcome his depression. When Geoff suggests this to Aden he brushes it off as a stupid idea. Later, Geoff finds Aden curled up on Belle’s bed at Irene’s house and Irene reveals that Aden has been sneaking in, sleeping there and then sneaking out again for the past few weeks and thinks it is his way of coping with his immense grief.
