Martha’s fears are driving Jack away. Jack’s resentment of Roman reaches a new level. Jai and Annie won’t let anyone keep them apart.
Extended Summary
Terrified for Annie, Jai clambers up onto the roof to help her, but as he reaches her she slips, just catching hold of the gutter. With adrenalin fuelled strength, Jai manages to haul her back onto the roof. Noticing a cut on her leg, he insists on taking her to hospital. While there, Annie explains that she just wanted him to understand how his behaviour made her feel. Though still convinced he’s invincible, Jai promises not to pull any more stunts, for her sake, and Annie promises not to tell anyone what happened.
Brought together by their ordeal, the pair finally kiss. But when everyone else catches up, and the young couple refuse to say what happened, Irene bans the two from seeing each other until they come fourth with the truth. But despite the anger and disappointment of Irene, Geoff and Miles, the two hold to their guns, and find a way around their problem by Video chatting over the internet.
Roman is shocked to discover that Jack will return to work the day Martha comes out of hospital, and his worry ruins yet another night with Charlie. But Jack’s no happier about it than Roman, it’s Martha who’s insisted he go back to work. Martha’s terrified that Jack will stop loving her when he sees her scar, and she’s letting her fear drive him away, much to his dismay.
When Roman visits, she has a chance to open up, but arriving home early, Jack only sees his wife in the embrace of her ex boyfriend. Hurt and angry, Jack let’s the stress get the better of him, and when he comes across Roman, lets a simple parking offence spiral out of control and end with him arresting Roman for assault.
