Will Martha and Jack feel invaded by Roman’s involvement? Belle and Aden are back on. What will happen to Ric?

Extended Summary

It’s time that Jack knew the truth about the reason for the paternity test and Martha can no longer hide it from him. Furious at the news, Jack goes missing leaving Martha worried sick about what he will do. When she finds out he has been in the Diner and tried to punch Roman, she rushes to Roman to find out what happened. He tells her that Jack had accused him of trying to weasel his way back into Martha’s life and he couldn’t understand why Roman didn’t just keep out of it. Devastated, Martha returns home to wait for Jack.

A conversation with Tony, who has his own worries with his operation coming up, helps Jack to get his feelings into perspective and he finally returns home, much to Martha’s relief. Graciously he apologises to her and says he wants them to be together, that whatever they decide to do about the paternity test, Roman deserves to be involved. The following morning they get together with Roman to discuss their options and all agree not to put the baby at risk by doing the test now. They will wait until after the baby is born and until then, they will do their best to stick together and keep Roman involved in the pregnancy.

Belle decides to help Aden out by re-writing the assignment he lost in the school’s computer crash but when she goes to his house to deliver it, Aden tells her he doesn’t need her pity. Disgruntled, she leaves the folder with him and heads off annoyed yet unaware that later that night he’ll have a change of heart, realise that she cares about him and decide to take up her offer of help after all. When she hears a noise at the window, she can’t hide that she’s pleased it’s Aden and he ends up staying the night with her and inviting himself over the following night. Things are looking up!

Ric’s first night shift doesn’t go as well as he hoped it would and he is gripped with fear when he bumps into Tony looking for Jack in the darkness. In the end, he heads home early to try and shake his edgy mood and get some sleep. But, he can’t relax and, plagued by flashbacks of the robbery, panic grips his body. When Matilda wakes up and Ric is not there she heads off to look for him, only to find him huddled staring, sweating and shaking. What is happening to Ric? Is he having a breakdown?
