With the earthquake hitting the Bay, Angel and her children are trapped in a crumbling house. As Alf tries to clean up his store, a pain shoots through his chest and he collapses unconscious. Lost loves are also rekindled during this time of panic.
Alf is told he will have to have open-heart surgery. Angel is distressed from losing everything in her life that she loves. It looks like the earthquake has destroyed Summer Bay High beyond repair.
Chloe is haunted by a nightmare. Liam’s birthday doesn’t turn out quite as he expected. While Duncan and Christopher play under the stairs in an old house, the building collapses around them.
Curtis admits to Irene that he is only staying with Chloe out of sympathy. Zenotti is given permission to clear the school site which will destroy all evidence of his shady business dealings. Kelly and Travis are reunited.
