The community is shocked as Teresa admits to murdering Tommy O’Reilly. An overworked Colby is trying to find balance between duty and family. Afraid of sending the wrong message, Leah decides to shut down her vlog. Will Robbo cross the line to save Jasmine?

Extended Summary

Colby thanks Mackenzie for looking after Bella. He confirms Robbo rang him at two in the morning and doesn’t think Robbo’s slept. They go out onto the balcony and see Irene, Bella and Teresa on the wharf; Colby remembers Teresa from court and they notice the blood. Irene tries to send Bella away, although she only makes it to the end of the wharf. Irene asks Teresa if the blood is Tommy’s. Teresa says she did what Irene wanted; Irene protests that she never wanted this. Colby leaves Mackenzie to look after Bella and call for back-up. He approaches Teresa, reminding her he’s Bella’s brother and saying he needs her to come to the station. When they arrive, he sends her into the interview room, saying he’ll take her statement, then asks Murray to send someone to the rehab centre to check on Tommy. Robbo is delivering threats to a drug dealer type and Colby intervenes, telling Robbo people are scared to talk. Robbo tells him the car used by the kidnappers was found in Mangrove River but it’s been torched. He is worried what will happen to Jasmine if they can’t find Carter. Colby is sympathetic but needs to focus on the other case.

At the Diner, Irene has told Leah, Justin and Marilyn what’s happened. She says Teresa snapped like her but Leah says what Teresa did was premeditated. Both Irene and Leah feel bad they didn’t realise how on edge Teresa was. Justin and Marilyn say they’re not responsible for her choices. Irene considers going to see Bella but Marilyn gets her to sit down first. Leah and Justin discuss the trial possibly being delayed. At the police station, Teresa tells Colby that she went to the rehab clinic and hid in the courtyard until Tommy appeared; she cornered him and he tried to talk his way out of it but she stabbed him. She says he was dangerous and suspects Colby wanted to do the same thing. Murray appears in the door and tells Colby that Tommy’s been found dead of multiple stab wounds: The knife was found at the scene. Colby says Teresa’s already confessed so she’ll be charged with murder.

Mackenzie calls Colby for an update; he tells her what’s going on but asks her not to tell Bella until he gets back. Bella hears the tail end of the conversation and guesses Tommy is dead. Mackenzie confirms it. Bella says she’s glad because he deserved it. At the Diner, Irene gets off the phone and tells Leah, Marilyn and Justin that Tommy’s dead and Teresa’s been charged with murder. Leah worries that Teresa might have seen the video she posted urging people to take action against Tommy or been influenced by the speech she gave at the support group, while Irene wonders if she was the last person to see Teresa before it happened. She thinks Bella doesn’t know so decides to go and see Teresa.

Bella insists Tommy was dangerous and had to be killed. Mackenzie protests that it’s never right to take a life and that Tommy would have gone to jail. Bella thinks he would have got off since he could twist words. Mackenzie says you can’t let revenge change you and Bella suggests it already has and Mackenzie doesn’t know her or Colby. She walks out. At the police station, Robbo has a heated phone conversation with Lance trying to get more leads. Irene and Leah turn up and ask Colby if they can see Teresa. Colby isn’t sure it’s a good idea but eventually goes in with them. Irene and Leah apologise for not talking to her but Teresa says talking doesn’t fix anything. Irene insists she can’t condone what Teresa did. Leah says Bella and the other girls won’t get justice. Teresa says she was younger than Bella when she was attacked but their lawyer branded her a liar and it worked. Leah asks if Teresa saw her post and Teresa asks if it matters: They were meant to be in it together but the others didn’t want to get their hands dirty. Irene can see Teresa doesn’t regret it so wishes her luck. Colby gets a call from Mackenzie about Bella.

Colby finds Bella sat near the beach. He confirms Teresa’s been arrested and says she crossed the line. Bella points out he crossed it as well, but Teresa’s not a cop so didn’t know how to play the system. Colby reminds her she was devastated about Ross but Bella says she sees things differently after Tommy: They’re safe from Ross and from him. Colby says what he and Teresa did was wrong. Bella doesn’t answer. Back at the flat, she clears the air with Mackenzie, saying she was in shock. Colby thinks he should be around more but Bella tells him to help Robbo find Jasmine. She goes to her room. Mackenzie wonders what Bella meant about her not knowing them but Colby dismisses it. He says Dean will be there soon and he’ll be back for dinner.

Irene and Leah walk by the beach. Irene is grateful Bella stopped her when she attacked Tommy and notes it’s down to what happened to Teresa when she was young. Leah says Colby is arranging a mental health assessment and legal aid. Justin comes over and Irene heads home. Leah says she can’t stop thinking about what she said at the support group and online. They head back towards the caravan park house; Leah notices people posting messages supporting Teresa on her blog. She says she’s going to take the site down: She can’t control how people react to the message and needs to concentrate on those she knows.

Colby joins Robbo who says there’s been a DNA match to the blood they found: Leonard Gordon, known as Lenny. They see from his record that he has the snake tattoo. Robbo tells Colby to check his associates. Colby is planning to meet Mackenzie and Bella for dinner. Robbo sees an alert of a gunshot wound at Northern District Hospital. Without giving any details, he tells Colby he’s going to follow a lead. Colby tries to go with him but is distracted by a text from Bella. Later, Colby tells Murray he’s going home. Murray notes there’s a disturbance at the hospital. Colby sees Lenny’s photo and dashes off. At the hospital, Robbo has barricaded himself in the room despite Alex’s protests. Leaning menacingly over Lenny, he tells him that he knows who he is and Lenny is going to tell him what he wants to know.
