Vanessa looks great. It's unfortunate that there isn't a TMZ type following in Australia because we don't often get updates on the Australian actors projects, that is where this site does an awesome job!

I read that she missed Tom when he left and that is rumored to be the reason why she left the show. Were they dating or something?

What hat happened to Nick the policeman?

Does anyone know how many copies the Fletcher's had of the photo below? Haha! We saw the kids taking the photos but not putting them back when they came home!

Nick got a posting at another station then went out India for a bit, leaving Shane feeling abandoned once he got the "I'm not coming back" phone call. Bruce Roberts, his actor went on to become a Newsreader after bit parts in movies including Batman Forever, Batman and Robin (godawful film, blech!) and Phone Booth.

There was a lady living in the woods, I can't remember her name or her story line, does anyone else remember?

"the City" was often referenced in the early episodes, do we know what city it is?

How far is Yabbie Creek from Summer Bay?

Laura Brennan She was friendly with Damien in 1993
"The City" is Sydney NSW
Yabbie Creek must be an hour or 2 away by car/bus

The geography is a little fluid - sometimes they need to get a bus out the the farm, other times it's close enough to walk. Sometime Yabbie Creek is a small neighbouring town where the Bay residents would know about that new *specify cuisine* place, but is also big enough to have a hospital, sometimes shopping centre, and a Uni and a police station that has a night shift as well as dayshift.

The City sometimes seems as if they are referring to a large regional town rather that Sydney per se - and they use it to imply that Summer bay is any small town rather than specifically in NSW, Australia.

Thanks

Ive always found this confusing.

So what exactly is in Summer bay?

We know there is some kind of police station - Bob Barnett,

There is a bank- Police escorted Frank to deposit Lance' investment money

There is a hospital- Near enough for Bobby to run to see Alan

There is a fire Station-

There is a school

Do we know why Brett and Roo never got back together when they were scheming against Ailsa?

I know that after the cocktail party, Brett was very interested in Bobby. It was always interesting to me that the two men who liked Roo ended up liking/loving Bobby.

Its a shame that Bobby/Brett storyline wasn't explored more.

But in the pilot Tom and Pippa were living in Sydney.
