Will continues to play dad, much to the chagrin of Nick and Hayley. Joel and Judith’s relationship suffers more teething problems. The new surf club kiosk is officially opened. Brodie’s life changes for the better.

Extended Summary

Will threw out magazines of Hayley’s and when she protested, he told her not to fill her mind with junk and to start getting her As.
Irene had a word to him and told him that they are allowed to be happy (including him) and that if he kept being mean to them that he would lose them!

Judith and Joel had their first tiff. Joel cooked her a meal out of one of Natalie’s cookbooks and couldn’t stop mentioning her name. Judith told him to cook her something from another cookbook next time!

Judith had a word to Ailsa and told her that she was having second thoughts about Joel moving in. Ailsa told her that she had had to cope with the ex-wife thing when she met Alf. Alf’s wife died before he met Ailsa but Alf and Ailsa sorted things out.

Shelley decided that Brodie should stay at their house while they were getting an AVO against her mother and a new family placement.

Dani spat the dummy and when Shelley confronted her about her attitude, she told her that all she (Shelley) had done since they came to Summer Bay was break promises…the social working…the kiosk etc. Dani got really upset and said that she felt sorry for Brodie but why did they always have to suffer?

Rhys and Shelley officially opened the Kiosk at the Surf Club and Alf kindly put $100 tab on for pies etc. After the opening, Brodie told Rhys and Shelley that she couldn’t believe that a family could be so great! She said that she hated her mother for depriving her of that experience.

Shelley told Rhys that there may be room for one more member in their household (temporarily).
