Extended Summary

The Sutherlands and the Stewarts headed out in Alf’s charter boat. The beach that Alf thought nobody used that they went to was covered in rubbish. Kirsty cut her foot so they had to go back to the mainland. Rhys didn’t like fishing and Alf couldn’t be happier that they cut their day short.
Gavin told Shauna that he is falling in love with her. He kissed her and she said, “I thought this was strictly platonic” – he obviously wants more. He said that he made a mistake when he was 19 and he is trying to get his daughter away from “that woman” – his wife. He told her that he “was not a sleaze”.

Sal warned Shauna not to get involved with a married man but Shauna likes him too much.

A photo that Vinnie took including Brodie outside the DIC was published in the local newspaper. Brodie’s mother saw it and came after her. She called her a tramp and pushed her onto the couch. When Sal and Mitch came in she acted all innocent and wanted to take Brodie home. She got abusive and Sal threatened to call the police. She left and said, “This is not the end of this”. Brodie wanted to leave but Mitch convinced her not to.

Mitch saw Vinnie about the photo and told him that he was stupid. Gavin heard and told Vinnie off as well. Shelley specifically told him NOT to take photos of any people at the DIC.
