  1. Leah came back from the city as Leah, although it sounds like her parents are living in the city again rather than Cyprus or Melbourne (where they were inbetween Sydney & Cyprus).
  2. Today's episode seemed really different, it all felt odd. Olivia didn't seem like Olivia at all. Mason's feelings for her came out of nowhere. Edit: Oh no, bring in Hunter and she's just the same.
  3. They have filmed by the Opera House with Sarah & Tug back in the 90s.
  4. Alf & Heath didn't get on? I barely remember them interacting.
  5. Or possibly (and quite ironically if that were the case) to stop raised eyebrows about seeing James living with a young girl on his own who had a different surname to him.
  6. Heath doesn't seem like Heath, he seems calmer. It's nice to see him though, he'd become a much better character by the time he left (if you exclude his cameo at Casey's grave & An Eye for An Eye) - and of all the Braxton men (alive ones anyway), he'd be the only one I'd be happy to see.
  7. Was the abandoned farmhouse in today's 5* episode the Hunter farm? The kitchen looked similar.
  8. Happy 13th Birthday BTTB, of course being a Home and Away fan site that probably means you're now actually 17 and have been recast with Matt Little... Thanks to the team for all your hard work.
  9. Were Charlie & Gypsy meant to be taking drugs or just drinking?
  10. I remember reading that the reason off screen was because it was damaging Lynne's hair - I think she said her hair had become really brittle and was falling out.
  11. I remember reading that when Hey Dad was being produced it used to share studio space with Home and Away, so they had to take down the H&A sets to shoot Hey Dad and put then take those down & put them back up again. I've done a quick search Real Life (which became Today Tonight) was launched in 1992, so perhaps it was down to studio space as Fisher's 1992-1995 house was more modular and the central part was smaller, so it probably meant they could fit it in elsewhere.
  12. Thanks Dan. An early example of Summer Bay becoming bigger than it should be I guess.
  13. I assume that Roo is heading towards becoming a teacher at the High School. I love that Matt brought up Frank to Roo, especially given the timing with VJ and Billie heading into a very similar story now with his proposal.
  14. I think the big thing with Irene is that the writing is inconsistent and there will always be that - if you read interviews with the cast, past and present, Ray Meagher, Debra Lawrence... they just say they have a quiet word or just tweak it until it's in character. I really have the feeling that Lynne McGranger is worried about her job if she does. Look at Irene's scenes during Chris' departure, I felt like she was Irene as she'd have been with Will or Nick. There are times she's written right, I think we even got a "Darl" the other day, but they really stand out because she's written so badly the rest of the time.
  15. Why would Phoebe take post for Sid to Northern Districts Hospital?
  16. It would be mad if Channel 5 didn't want to close the gap. I would hazard a guess that it's Seven's doing because of their scheduling.
  17. Plus he's lost the hair, so he doesn't look exactly the same - but the fact he hasn't interacted with Irene or Alf helps, even if that does highlight that there are two halves of the Bay.
  18. They could easily place the Morgan House near to the Palmer house as it's quite similar and is actually nearby. If they used Barrenjoey High School as Summer Bay High (going by the maps on BTTB) then it'd help too as the houses around it would look a similar style I guess to those we see. Personally I'd have the Farm House girls move into the Diner flat. Then I'd look to find a new arrangement for the Stewarts & MacGuires. I think Leah & Zac are a great fit for Summer Bay House, so maybe they could move Alf, Roo, Duncan & Bryce into a Beach House neighbouring Irene and bring in a new exterior for Irene's at the same time. I do think the aerial shots of the bay don't help as you know there's no way the houses in the bay are anywhere near the beach, surf club or the diner.
  19. I love the Farm House, but what I don't love is the fictional location. It's meant to be a long journey out of the bay, with an irregular bus journey but people jump from the farm to the beach in seconds whether they drive or not, then we have the residents regularly being shown drinking late at night when a bus won't be running, but somehow they get home. I always feel that whoever lives in the Farm House is always segregated from the rest of the bay, the Walkers less so, but still quite isolated. That location made sense for the Campbells story, so I suppose we should be thankful they've kept the continuity of the location in part, but now the Caravan Park is back, it would fit better if they said the farm was near the park.
  20. I feel like they've missed an opportunity to involve Pippa with Marilyn & John's story again - even if it was just a phone call - I would've liked to have seen Marilyn turn to her for advice when she found the knife in Jordan's room.
  21. She did stay with Irene very briefly when Irene was helping her with her drink problem. I can't remember exactly, but I think Kit might have been the one who opened/drank the bottle that Irene had been keeping since she (Irene) stopped drinking as a test for herself.
  22. Wow, I've never heard anyone insult Leah's moussaka - everyone normally says how great it is. I loved her reaction, it was so in character.
  23. Terri Garner! That's why - I've still got that awful recast stuck in my head. Thanks Dan.
  24. Has the actress who played the doctor who diagnosed Billie's pregnancy been in the show before? She seems really familiar. I'm not sure if it's because she's reminding me of Judith Ackroyd/Anna Hruby, but crossed with someone else, but I can't think who... another Doctor, I keep thinking Kelly, but that doesn't seem the right fit.
  25. I assume to show is either paying for all the landscaping at Summer Bay House or the owners are just putting their fee to good use. It's looking so much better and I like that a lot of it is similar to how it used to be. I've also noticed that the roof doesn't look so grey - in certain lights there's almost a hint of red coming through.
