I really enjoyed the Leah, Jasmine, David stuff. Although I didn’t understand why Leah didn’t phone/text Colby straight away, this was one hostage situation I actually cared for because it was a development of a human story. It reminded me a bit of Robert & Natalie.

They really haven’t written this Martha story well, there’s so much more they could have done with it and so many plot holes. Has Alf had the letter is his wallet all this time? If not, why would that survive the mudslide when the Stewart family records didn’t? Roo said that Summer Bay House didn’t feel like her home anymore, but they should have played more on the fact it was her home at the time of Martha’s “death” and that’s why she couldn’t stay there... i.e. “This is where you told me my Mum died” “This bedroom is where I cried myself to sleep...” The one thing that does fit, although is probably by chance, is Alf said in the pilot how obsessive Martha was in keeping the house clean. Often those who are hiding personal issues, be it mental illness or addiction, try to hide it by keeping up appearances.

Aah, I see. Well, that’s even odder as it’s not even about reducing the size of the set as there’s still a corridor and wall behind there.

The fretwork divider for the Diner toilets was still there in today’s episode. Roo’s surgery really was miraculous, no recurring side effects when being blown down a sink hole. I do wish they’d had Alf utter an Alfism when he came to, “Stone the Flamin’ Crows” or something.

Those kind of changes I don’t mind, but things like changing entire walls of the diner are ridiculous. There were a few minor changes last year too, like the dining chairs and sofa at Summer Bay House. Now that set is due a revamp to fix the mess they made of it circa 2009.

Ah, that’s a recent change then as it was still there circa 6809.

So why did Leah send Jasmine out of the diner to go to the toilet?

John possibly. We know of Jenena, Gina and Marilyn, but he’d maybe been married before Jenena.

His interview on the official site seems to suggest that the show decided not to renew his contract, but he agreed with the decision, there was definitely more to do with the character though, seeing him move on after Billie, maybe becoming a lifeguard like his Dad.

If Alf’s not had contact with Quinn since 1995, how did she know his number? I suppose maybe if she googled Alf Stewart, Summer Bay she might find a reference to him and the Caravan Park, but Alf didn’t even seem surprised. For all Quinn might have known she was ringing Pippa. I’m beginning to assume that they don’t take phone bookings anymore for the Caravan Park which is why they don’t answer the phone as “Summer Bay Caravan Park” anymore.

Ah. Did he bring her back to the house? I don’t know, I seem to remember him at Summer Bay House.

So Leah took Ash & Luc back to her places because Mick knows where Irene lives. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Mick kidnap Luc from Summer Bay House before?

Police Station renos (odd given that it’s not long since it was done last) and new dining chairs at Summer Bay House. The chairs are the ugliest looking chairs I’ve ever seen, even worse than the patio chairs they had - they really needed the whole new dining table too. I’m not sure if it’s a new couch too.

I really hope that Irene’s reaction to the Police and the bloodied boat was a continuity nod to Lou DeBono, even if they didn’t mention it specifically, Lynne seemed to be playing it that way.

Marilyn’s dress looked like it was inspired by Liv’s old school uniform.

Ah, I thought that was the same place as the wedding as well. I remember reading somewhere that the location of Shannon & Katherine’s failed meeting was used again (pre-Morgans) but now I don’t know what that was, if at all, unless I read the same misconception.

Doctors has been on summer break hasn't it? Not sure about teatime, but maybe those who watch Doctors watch Neighbours at teatime normally.

Loved the in-joke from Hunter that sometimes a trip to the city seems to take 5 minutes and others it seems to take most of a day. When Irene arrived home with Luc during the dinner party she entered from the left of the kitchen rather than the right, like she was hiding where the oven is the whole time and no-one noticed.

I'd expect Neighbours' finale to be on 8th December, returning on 8th January.

So Mr Astoni (whose name I still don't know or remember) thinks VJ looks 25...

I suppose it makes more sense to only disrupt viewers of one programme, rather than two, although the lunchtime screening of Neighbours is moving. They might be trialling an earlier slot for them both though.
