I suppose it makes more sense to only disrupt viewers of one programme, rather than two, although the lunchtime screening of Neighbours is moving. They might be trialling an earlier slot for them both though.

Why wasn't the plaster that Leah put on Tori in the diner, blue? Also, if Leah doesn't own the Diner building, what exactly did she lend Irene & Roman the money for back in 2008? Was it to buy the lease & fund the relocation? I don't understand how the Pier and the Bait Shop/Diner/Apartment are being treated as separate freehold entities though. The farmhouse has had a new kitchen and some replacement furniture ready for sale then. I hope it gets a lick of paint, as much as I like the set, I hate that living room. It wouldn't be so bad if it was wider at one end so you could see the divider between the lounge & kitchen/dining area more easily.

Not really, since the fire the toilets are where the Den was, the section from the bench to the pillar is where the kitchen was and from the pillar to the back wall of the kitchen is the original Pier Diner.

I agree that Vanessa & Debra's Pippas are almost two different people. Debra could be very harsh at times, but she felt very real too, she did make mistakes with the kids. I think she has been helped by her returns where we only saw her best sides, but Vanessa's Pippa did also have the harsh sides, but I think she was a bit quicker to apologise.

Oh ok, Marilyn's justification for supporting John's decision to leave actually kind of worked. I assume that Matt spoke to Alf as a last result, as with Evelyn & Maz. I can't remember them being particularly close. Obviously Zac isn't around and Leah & VJ have used up their episode quotas.

I realise it was the only empty bedroom and that it means we can see it, but surely Irene would ask Nate or Olivia to move downstairs so that she could put the nursery upstairs. I suppose it's better for Nate to be upstairs for when he's been on nights so he isn't disturbed.

I liked that Kat, Olivia & Hunter were looking at houses on Saxon Avenue, it made the bay seem just that tiny bit smaller again, so amongst the streets we didn't know, there was at least one we did.

The scenes with VJ & Marilyn at the Diner, saying he'd forgive John for her and then the actual scene at the Palmer house forgiving John, even though VJ was in two minds about it, was one of the best scenes in years and I could've imagined it in yesteryear - after Bobby's death for example. I do like the hypocrisy of the bay usually forgiving a regular for causing a death but never a guest character, even those with (mental) illnesses.

There was a scene, possibly one of the last filmed at SBH before the fire, with Dani & either Jade or Kirsty (I think Kirsty) on the upstairs enclosed verandah/balcony. Oh wow, I assume it's for some kind of ventilation. I wonder how they filmed the scene up there then.

If Zac was driving out of Summer Bay, why did we see the 'You are leaving Summer Bay' sign behind him?

I've been trying to work out the layout upstairs at Summer Bay House again and mostly it makes sense if the right side of the house exists downstairs (and you expand the exterior a little), but I've just been thinking back across some more recent episodes and things have certainly got confused. So as you go upstairs after the turn, it's a straight run to the back of the house, however the stairs run alongside the wall, but at the top of the stairs, there's a banister to the right of the stairs towards the bathroom. It's straight, so it's not the stairs to the attic bedroom which just don't seem to exist on the set. There's a bedroom to directly at the top of the stairs which in Pippa's day was the boys room, turn the corner to the left of that there's the girls room and then turn again and there's the master which fits as it puts the door to the enclosed verandah upstairs smack bang in the middle of the house where it should be. I think though that when Tank jumped out of Evie's bedroom window last year that he landed on the wrong side of the house.

It's a nice looking house as well, so it's a shame it was meant to be so far away and never used again (so far anyway as never say never in Summer Bay).

Confusing though I guess as across their channels they'd have 3 different episodes airing on any given day. I'm surprised First Look has continued actually.

Oh, yeah I see now, although depending on the location of Stewart's Point now, (If it's still West Head Lookout) then the fire looked like it was headed towards that part of Summer Bay, unless Stewart's Point is in Yabbie Creek but named because it overlooks Summer Bay. God, it is confusing. I know one thing, I wouldn't fancy a walk to Stewart's Point from Summer Bay.

Did they use footage of the real life Palm Beach bushfire from 2013 for the shot of the smoke over the headland? Given the fire was out towards Yabbie Creek I'm not sure where they were trying to suggest Yabbie Creek was. The smoke even appeared to be blowing towards the bay from that shot when we were told thr fire was moving away from Summer Bay.

Which explains why she picked the Simpsons I guess as she'd maybe worked with Doris at the store, or just seen her a lot.

Yes, I thought it sounded similar to Beacon Store, which is mentioned in the article briefly. It's definitely not that store as it's a different construction.
