They’ve cut the 6pm then. I get there’s still the first look, but I don’t know why they didn’t just move Home and Away into Neighbours‘ slots of Tuesday & Thursday or something.

I think Mason was one of those characters that got lost somewhere in the middle. I liked his early craving for a real relationship that he didn’t have to leave behind when he changed identity yet again. Then towards the end I think his friendships with Willow & Alex, fighting for Raffy and then the different dynamic with Justin following the departure of Brody gradually made me warm to him. Probably controversial but I’d quite like to have seen him stick around and Tori leave - I feel he was sacrificed as they ended up with too many Doctors. If Tori & Robbo both died then Grace would’ve given either Jasmine or Justin & Leah a pretty good story to run with.
-
I agree, although they fit the professionals like Don, Judith & Angie, but there haven’t been very many characters they’d have suited since.
-
Ahh thanks, I saw there were reports pretty close around the Blaxland Ridge/Kurrajong area.
-
I was more concerned about the more inland areas like Kenthurst (Summer Bay House) and Vineyard (Astoni’s farmhouse) as I’d imagined they were closer to the fire areas.

http://mitchfirth.com Looks like Mitch attempted to get back into acting a couple of years ago, not sure what he’s been doing otherwise. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3321496/Where-Home-Away-cast-now.html It sounds like Kate Garven has been concentrating on being a Mum of three. http://i.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/wellington/6387305/Home-and-Away-star-joins-Wellington-dance-school Amy Mizzi was working as a dance teacher in New Zealand in 2012, but doesn’t appear to be now. My question - how close are the fires to any of the H&A locations? Obviously Summer Bay House springs to mind again, I saw there was a house destroyed in Kenthurst back in November due to a bushfire.

Possibly, her ashes were scattered at sea so he may have been out to that spot, which is the closest thing.
-
I guess if she was still in the titles then no, but if we’re using that as a decider then Roo returned after she was removed from the titles. But yes, Frank is the clearest example.
-
Yes, 5* has tended to end on the same episode in recent years then return a day earlier than Channel 5 instead. 5* just got the next episode promo.

I think it is and that’s largely because they want to gloss over Alf being a bigamist, although he didn’t know Martha was alive when he married Ailsa. I’d much rather they said that Alf had told Ailsa, they decided that Martha must have had her reasons for running away (Ailsa would have understood that better than anyone) and so decided not to act on the letter. Roo had probably just given Martha up for adoption and Ailsa was pregnant with Duncan, so it was better for everyone not to.

There was a voiceover message over the closing credits on 5* today from Ray Meagher: “And that’s it until the New Year! So from all of us down under, have a great Christmas and we’ll see you in January!”

Roo Stewart - Justine Clarke & Georgie Parker

When Frank returned for Sally & Kieran’s Wedding in 2000, his final scene with Pippa on the foot of the stairs at Summer Bay House referenced a high flying job in Manhattan and International flights waiting for no-one. -
A Christmas special sounds fun! Especially the group of characters they’re including. I wonder if it’ll be a bit of a clip show too.

Today’s episode, Alf told Palmer that his juice would “kill a brown dog” and then I’m just watching episode 43 and he uses the same phrase to Frank about some of the stock at the bottle shop.

Roo Stewart - Justine Clarke & Georgie Parker

I wonder if Alex Papps would ever come back? I guess it’d be confusing having an unrelated Morgan whilst the other Morgans are on the show, although they’d just need to point out that it isn’t their real surname. I guess Frank could lose his job in New York, or have a health scare that finally gets him to slow down. It’d be good to see him and Roo together again, even if it isn’t Justine. Plus it’d make visits from Pippa more possible. -
Don bought her a mobile phone to help her stay in touch, didn’t he? Although I expected Pippa to come back at the time as I believed the 6 month story, I think the show didn’t want to lose the fostering element and Travis & Rebecca taking over briefly was more realistic than someone taking over the house and deciding to “follow the tradition of the house” as we got when Sally left from Alf (who knew the house long before it was a tradition). I’d actually love to see Pippa back to support Marilyn, there have been a few missed opportunities, but even now with Raffy’s departure and her still struggling to let her go, as she’s done with her other foster kids, that’s where some advice from Pippa could really help. I assume Pippa isn’t still fostering, but actually what they should have done is had her settle in the City rather than the Carrington Ranges and had her become some kind of DoCs liaison or something, supporting new foster parents.

Flynn Saunders - Martin Dingle Wall & Joel McIlroy
c120701 replied to sallyandflynnfan's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
I don’t think I saw either Flynn as right for Sally. The first Flynn (MD-W), I don’t know, just didn’t seem like a long term partner for her, he was more of a risk taker and Sally really wasn’t. The second Flynn (JM) was more suited to Sally as he generally played things a bit safer (I couldn’t imagine MD-W getting stuck abseiling down to Sally & Sophie), however he came across a bit more like a father figure to Sally, especially once they’d married. I guess given her history with those it was understandable that she’d want that, there were just times that Sally came across as immature compared to him. I just felt that she was in love with the security he provided as much as she was him, if not more. -
Do we ever find out why the oyster farm is owned by S Mulligan according to Lance & Martin’s truck but we’re told that Donald’s brother is the owner and that Clive Fisher is their boss? I assume Clive is the brother Don refers to as the owner rather than S Mulligan.

Irene signing over her half of the Diner to Leah isn’t that simple, as it would be classed as a gift it would be subject to tax. She’d actually be better to sell it to Leah for a dollar or something. The court could also trace the transfer and challenge it, likewise if Irene did the same with her house to the kids. I’m wondering it what will happen is that Irene will need to sell the house and Leah buys a share in that, then moves in there.
-
Of course. We’re not going to progress this, so we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I put the subtitles on too and they did say maternity, but I also listened to it five times, including right by the speaker and it was definitely paternity.
-
How did the new Doctor saying “I thought she was on paternity leave” in reference to Tori not get noticed by Sam Frost, the Director or any of the crew in studio or in post-production? It would’ve been easy to dub.
-
We’ve actually not seen the Summer Bay House interior for quite a while now, at least in the UK. I think the last time was just after Alf came home.

Clearly the Director loved the framing of the light shining through the stained glass between Robbo & Jasmine, meaning we had the really odd positioning of the Vicar off to the right of the altar.
