Alison was first seen as a classmate of Carly, Bobby and Roo who found a love note from Donald Fisher to Ailsa and plastered it all over school. For a while Alison drifted in and out as one of those characters that was always there but rarely seen. Her next major incident was to be caught passing a note to Roo about her pregnancy which was confiscated and read out by Foley.
She teased Carly about her crush on Foley and teased her again when her attempts to be famous backfired on her. She applied for a job with the Macklins and became Stacey’s secretary. Gary Samuels flirted with her and managed to convince her he was psycic by guessing her phone number then he attempted to guess the combination to The Macklin safe and she ended up giving him the correct combination. The safe was broken into the next night but Alison kept quiet about her part in it despite receiving the sack from Stacey and a black eye from Bobby.
Her next trick was to con Lance into thinking she liked him in order to get him to buy her an expensive dress. She was devastated when her dress turned out bto be the same as Carly’s so asked Lance to buy her a car instead. Luckily Lance saw sense and refused. She continued to tease Carly and on finding out from Sally that Carly was going ‘cold turkey’ she spread the news that Carly was a drug addict and was turfed from the Diner by Ailsa. She tried to recruit Roo to put itching powder in Bobby’s dress but Roo told Bobby of her plan and Bobby held her under the surf and threatened to drown her. She was revealed as having sent threatening letters to Bobby and Ailsa and was threatened with legal action by Fisher.
Matt asked her out and she delightedly accepted and Bobby got revenge for the itching powder trick by forcing Alison to pour it down her own clothes. She got her revenge by broardcasting the news of who Bobby’s mother was, all over town, including selling the story to the newspaper but regretted it when Matt publicly dumped her.
During Vinnie’s time in the bay it was revealed that Alison was his cousin. After Sally’s non-wedding to Kieran in 2000, it was revealed that Alison was now working on a radio station in Armidale and was now quite a catch.
