Extended Summary

George and Samantha argue about Samantha running away whilst Carly, Tom and Pippa watch on. Samantha says that she ran away because of the workload that she was being put under. George says he thought she enjoyed it, Samantha says she enjoys modelling, not working herself to a nervous breakdown. George says they’ll ease up on the schedule. A rammy can be heard from outside and the Fletcher’s rush out to see what’s going on. George and Samantha smile at each other. Later, Samantha and George are interviewed in the Fletcher’s garden. George and Samantha talk about their love for each other, whilst Tom rolls his eyes. Pippa, Carly and Lynn are in the girls bedroom, with Pippa annoyed that the girls had kept this from them. Tom walks upstairs and starts having a go at the girls as well. Carly says she’ll take the blame for it all. Tom also tells Carly that George wants to have a word with her, but Carly says she isn’t interested. When Tom mentions the press, Carly suddenly becomes interested and starts searching for something to wear. George and Samantha continue to be questioned, until Carly walks out all dressed up and the press want a photo.

Newspapers are delivered to general store and a group of school kids including Carly, Matt and Alison are reading them. Bobby turns up, but when she realises what all the fuss is about she walks out. Ailsa chases after her and wants to know why Bobby’s suddenly changed. Bobby refuses to tell her, but Ailsa says it’s because Frank told her he didn’t love her. Narelle turns up all dressed up and she’d scored a job. Narelle goes on about how the guy couldn’t keep his eyes off her when she was getting interviewed. When Ailsa asks where the job was she says she got a job at Alf’s bottle shop, before realising she had put her foot in it. Bobby and Narelle then go for a walk along the beach, Narelle reveals that it was her that told her Frank how Bobby felt about. Narelle says that Bobby has to stop being mad and that she needs to smarten up and make Frank jealous so he realises what he is missing out on.

Frank returns home from the hospital. The girls want to spend some time with Frank, but Pippa says he needs his rest and sends everyone bar Steven packing. Pippa sets about helping Frank unpack, but Frank insists he’s fine and sends Pippa packing. Frank reveals to Steven that he’s still planning to move out, but he has to find the right time to tell Tom and Pippa. He asks Steven to help him downstairs and they join Tom in the garden. Bobby arrives home on the back of a motorbike with Narelle. She walks over and spins a story about how it was “Wild Dog Creek” who rides for misfits. Later that night, Tom and Pippa are in the kitchen talking about Bobby’s 2-wheeled arrival earlier in the day. Carly arrives home with a copy of the paper, which has her photo in it.

George and Samantha get ready for a TV interview. Most of the Fletcher clan and Matt gather around the TV to watch Samantha’s interivew. Samantha says ” a few days with Carly made her realise how easy it was to be happy with so little” and Carly turns the TV off. As soon as the interview finishes, the house starts getting phone calls from people wanting to speak to Carly.

Narelle comes into Bobby’s caravan as they plan to go for another ride. Bobby still isn’t sure it will work, but Narelle insists it will.

Tom and Pippa discuss all the attention that Carly is getting after the whole Samantha episode and how she is handling it. George Morris turns up asking to talk to Carly. Matt and Carly are in the bedroom having a pillow fight when Tom walks and says that George wants to speak to Carly. Carly tells Tom she’s not interested. George walks and in says that the modelling agency want Carly to feature in a documentary. The thought of fame suddenly makes Carly very interested. Sally tells George what he thinks of her; that he used to hurt Carly and make her cry. George tells Sally to go away and takes her bear. Frank walks in to see what all the fuss is about. Carly wants to take part in the documentary, but Tom and Pippa aren’t so keen. Frank and Sally talk about George and Carly. Steven spots Bobby returning home with Wild Dog Creek again. Carly agrees to take up George’s offer.
