Mrs Patterson was only seen once, scolding her eldest child Alison after Bobby came to their house and accused Alison of winding Carly up. Mrs Patterson insisted that Alison lacked direction and after breaking up a fight between Bobby and Alison, decided that since she had been sacked from the Macklin Project, she was going back to school.

She was often referred to by her children who appeared in numerous guest stints and by her nephew Vinnie when he became a full time character many years later.
