The 30th is just 6 weeks away now.

I think the 2018 season premiere is late January, over a week after the 17th

So I think the 30th will have little or no relevance to TPTB.

What’s TPTB mean?

The Powers That Be

Though the fact H&A isn't airing on the 17th (as it hasn't since 2007) has no bearing on whether the occasion will be honoured throughout the season (as it was in 2008).

Sorry to upset anyone but I don’t think anyone should get their hopes up that anyone is returning. Look at 20 year anniversary. They hardly did anything other than Pipp/Floss/Steve and Carly returning for Sally's farewell.

You do realise that the Milco storyline also tied in with the 20th anniversary?

2018, rings a bell!

The year of Meaghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding.

100 Years since World War One ended.

and..

30 years of Home and Away!

In 2008, we saw the 20 year revelation of Milco, who was indeed real.

In 1998, we saw Ian return and he changed the show for ever as we knew it.

So.. What would you like to see in the anniversary?

Why was this merged into the UK discussion, maybe Australians want there own one

I doubt Ryan Kwanten would come back to the show long term. I feel it's time the characters of both Leah and VJ were rested, and I would like to see Vinnie return to reunite with his family, and for them to leave the Bay together for good.

This will sound horrible but his "glory days" in Hollywood appear to be over, all he seems to do now is movies that go direct to dvd. True Blood will probably be the best thing he'll do. He could do worse than coming back and being a big fish in a little pond.
