In Kat's defence there is no real evidence just suspicion over Robbo, his not having a history doesn't help of course, only we know the truth, or most of it.  She covered for Kyle who she had known longer than she has known Robbo  and she knew he was guilty.  McCarthy didn't really have a choice but to suspend her, she is too far involved, even if Robbo was an innocent bystander. Shepherd is acting just like Carter did, he focused on one person over Charlotte's murder, rather than look at other suspects.  Unless of course Shepherd knows more than he is letting on. Pretty snide of Shepherd calling Robbo John Doe the way he did. Robbo did act very cool in his interview, then he made that slip about them finding Novak's signal.  Thinking about it, was it really such a bad thing Kat mentioning it to Robbo, he was one of the people Novak tried to blow up after all so even if he wasn't involved the way he is, he does have an invested interest in the guy behind it being caught. Of course so does Justin and Scarlett who so far seem to have forgotten about it all. I wondered about Murray telling Ash about Kat being suspended and although not actually saying so in as many words hinted Robbo was a person of interest to the police.

A lot more people than Marilyn were out front seeing Robbo get arrested, John was there and Alf, sadly human nature for people to rubber neck when something like that happens, especially if it involves people you know.

The verdict about the corruption case does seem to have been forgotten or shelved for now.

If Robbo wasn't such an unknown quantity I don't think Ash would have such a problem with Kat being with him, but she is carrying his child and while  like you Red I don't think Robbo harm Kat or the baby intentionally, but when he loses it he could do things he wouldn't otherwise. Did he forget to give Kat back his key when he left, did she forget to ask for it back.  Relief in a way he didn't have it to hand but had to search for it.  Same here Red, the police certainly made a good search of the flat, looked like it had been ransacked.  I may be wrong, but I thought that the person who place was being searched had to be there to prevent any later accusations that evidence had been planted? Tori has been trying very hard to be patient and understanding, but Ash does keep pushing it, his fretting about Kat & Robbo having gone away for a few days without letting him know being a case in point. Then she comes across him searching Kat's flat after being tipped off he was seen letting himself in.  Ash was splitting hairs when he denied to Tori he broke in as he used his key.  I get Ash finds a gun, Novak's,  in Robbo's car, but was the money Novak's payment for doing the job? Seeing as Robbo a.k.a Beckett Reid is a professional shouldn't he have done a better job of hiding/getting rid of it/them.

None of the Morgan's seem to be able to have an uncomplicated relationship, Tori's guys always have some hang ups, she leaves them, goes back to them, they leave her, cheat on her.  Brody mucks up his one relationship, Mason's first serious love dies on him.  I remember from way back Justin saying he didn't do casual. I'm not counting Nina as we know nothing about their relationship, but his two previous ladies Phoebe and Scarlet did come with a lot of baggage as does Willow, he sure knows how to pick them.  It was funny when she kicked him out after their 'afternoon delight' and Alf was passing by.  His acting like  a teenager when he faced her in the gym made me chuckle too. It did appear they had reached an -um - understanding. That was a poignant moment when Mason reminded Justin and Tori they were lucky they did have love lives.

I thought that was a good call on John's part employing both of them, Willow did seem to know what she was doing, be too risky for John to take someone on who didn't so I hope he will check she does have some kind of qualification in that field. Just because Mason has a medical, well part medical, training doesn't follow he knows about exercise and how to use your body in training.  At least she has finally made the effort to find a job. The gym's new owners are similar to Salt's, appear to be absentee landlords/ladies.

We know why Olivia is being so distant with Hunter who has done nothing wrong and is still apologising for being responsible for losing her the contract. It is good to see she is feeling guilty and has a conscience over sleeping with Axel.  I really thought she was about to confess to Hunter, though The Diner would not have been a good place.  He's thinking of proposing, has he sounded her out on if she wants to get engaged, even if marriage is way down the line.  After keeping her dangling for a week, Axel makes a personal appearance to let her know he has persuaded his management to give her another chance do we believe that or not? She really was torn, wanting to get back to  doing what she loves but knowing she'd have to work, closely, with the guy she slept with whilst drunk. He seemed genuine about them keeping it professional, but.......  Irene certainly knew when to make her appearance the very moment Olivia said 'I slept with you!'  Hunter & Olivia have been an item for a good while now but hearing Liv had a one off with her boss I'd guess you'd call him, is another matter all together.  Of course Liv also has to tell Irene she's spent all the money she gave/lent her. May be fanciful thinking but I don't suppose we'll get any news on how Mick is faring in WA seeing Irene is back safe and sound?

I think it kind of threw Ziggy when Brody told her he may be jealous but she was right they aren't an item so he isn't saying anything and staying out of it.

So not only does Ryder not suffer any consequences for keeping quiet about Novak's body, he actually gets treated like the victim? And that's nothing compared to the lack of consequences for running over Roo in a stolen car.("He still thinks it's his fault,"laments Raffy as if it somehow isn't.)I don't think Ryder's irredeemable and I certainly don't think he's as bad as Hunter was when he came in:I think probably the last comparable character was Matt, who also came in selfish, obnoxious and hard to like but got over it. But Ryder's got a long way to go for all his fussing round Roo, which makes her channelling Pippa at her worst and patting herself on the back for how much better Ryder is since he came to live with her (and Alf, but mostly her) all the more frustrating. He's still obnoxious, he's still got an attitude problem and a chip on his shoulder, his sleeping problems haven't got any better and, oh yes, he just stole a car and ran someone over with it, then followed it up by stealing a boat as well.I felt for Quinn who seemed very much the outsider as Ryder gives her lip while fawning over Roo...but of course he's going to prefer the cool aunt who lets him do whatever he likes to the parent who tries to give him discipline, and it might be a different story if Roo actually has to act like a parent rather than an enabler. It is a shame that Quinn chose to have a go at Roo when she was actually being fairly reasonable for once and I did wince at her turning down Tori's offer of help (which will no doubt result in a miracle diagnosis). But frankly I'd rather Quinn stuck around and Ryder pushed off.

Irene was a bit better here as she actually listened to Olivia and showed some empathy, although she was quick to get shirty when Olivia decided she wasn't going to do what she said.So it seems Olivia and Axel are going to try to be professional, although there's clearly a mutual attraction there. To be slightly fair to him, Hunter did float the idea of getting married one day to Olivia a few months back and she seemed keen on the idea but perhaps things have changed since then.

Tori is mostly just throwing tantrums at Ash and saying the baby isn't his responsibility until it's born seems rather short-sighted:If something happens to Kat (and it nearly has done, more than once, although that wasn't exactly Robbo's fault), then it happens to the baby too.I'm confused at Ash's find. That can't be the gun Novak was killed with since that was found with the body...which actually kind of suggests that Robbo didn't dump the body out at sea, he took Novak to the cove and buried him there and did a bad job of it.(Was that the cove where Robbo was first found?)So where did it come from?

It wasn't made clear when he went out in the boat to dispose of the body, but he did indeed bury it - and he went back to it to dig up Novak's phone(?) that time. The only reason I realised it was actually supposed to be the body he got the phone from was from when they filmed the scene in question - they dug a big grave with a dummy body, just for a few seconds of screen time where Robbo reaches into a hole for the phone :P

I think Novak was killed with his own gun wasn't he? Robbo took it doing the initial struggle at the scrapyard. So would the one Ash found be the one from the safehouse...? That's all a bit of a blur now.  Edit: Just checked and they look like different guns, so who knows...

She was in the middle of a shift.  She wasn't on a break.  She was supposed to be serving customers but stopped serving them, left the restaurant to go out and see what the commotion is about because she's.....nosey, nosey, nosey.

Well I'm glad Mason and Tori can see that Justin shouldn't be getting involved with someone like Willow.  He got to tap it fine but I don't think he should get too serious about her.  She's bad news and a timely reminder from Tori that she took their dog.  When she claimed they were done in the gym and said she wanted to keep it casual I did wonder if she was using him all along.  Obviously she was attracted to him but as I mentioned when she first showed up I don't find her to be a particularly likeable person, see very few redeeming qualities and baring her dad she doesn't come across as someone who really cares about other people.  I would like to see that permanent fake grin wiped from her face.

I like Tori especially when she wears those fairly short skirts but I'm still enjoying seeing her get out of shape over Ash's obsession with Robbo and looking out for Kat.  I found it really funny when she caught Ash going through the things at Kat's flat and then she went into one.  How could he be so stupid as to leave the door wide open like that?  Although she wants no part of it she seems to have accepted he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

Have to say Quinn didn't come across too well yesterday.  She seemed to act like a jealous child and was out of shape because Roo's getting more attention off her own kid than she is.  And it just felt that she was more bothered about her pride than she was about Ryder although objectively I do understand where she's coming from because he can often be an absolute nightmare and there's been no real comeback or repercussions for his actions last week.  So it seems like bad behaviour has been rewarded.  I can even understand that she feels everybody's ganging up on her.  I didn't like the scene when she called Roo out.  Rather than trying to make it about her she should have focused on Ryder and brought up the fact that he hit Roo with a car (that didn't belong to him) and should have been punished rather than immediately forgiven.  She also should have brought up him taking the boat.  Then she would have come across a lot better.  I also didn't like the way she was with Tori initially as I feel Tori was generally trying to help her and Ryder and Quinn can't apply the treading on somebody's toes argument with her as she was talking to her from a medical perspective.

Whilst I'm still disappointed Olivia slept with Axel I don't see any good from her telling Hunter at this point and think she should see how things go work wise and take it from there.  Didn't realise she was still at Uni though.  I just assumed she was working full time.  I didn't think Axel was actually that into her before and I'm still not convinced he is.  Although I suspect Olivia still likes him and is probably worried that it could happen again.  There is a very small part of me that would like Hunter to find out just so he can go psycho again.

I found it really funny when Irene overheard Olivia fess up.  I am actually glad to see her back.  I've mainly disliked her over the last year or so due to Luc related issues so I suspect I will like her for the most part now.  I hope Mick settled in OK where he is and will come to terms his problem and find happiness eventually.

I did wonder if it was Robbo's bag Ash was going through, but that had already been searched when they first came across it on the boat, but then I remembered he stashed it away when he moved in with Kat. I've always thought he dumped Novak's body in the sea, would have been risky burying it at the cove which  it appears is exactly what he did.  As queried before is the stash of money Novak's? Whatever Ash calls back Kat from her break to show her what's he's found.  Tori was up  and down in her mood with Ash and his bordering on obsession with Robbo, though of course he is right to be suspicious.  True the baby isn't here yet, but Kat stressing out over Robbo won't be doing her any good that's aside from any physical danger she could get into. Slade, we are talking about bay folk here, they hardly ever, ever shut, lock their doors so are bound to get caught out doing things they shouldn't. I'm glad she has decided to stick with him but has decided  not to get involved with his poking around about Robbo.

It does seem to have been forgotten by Alf about Ryder nicking his boat, Raffy only mentioned it in passing when she apologised to him for dubbing him in over it. Though if you think of it in another way if he hadn't it would have taken a lot longer for Novak's body to have been found by which time it would have decomposed even more. I do believe there is a big part of him that is sorry over his past behaviour and was genuinely concerned over Roo when she got home.  I'm in two minds over Quinn, I was getting annoyed with her when she kept telling Ryder to leave Roo alone when he was offering to get her a cup of tea/something to eat, telling him to stop bothering her while Roo was fine with it and enjoying being fussed over.  Did giggle when Ryder said he'd take Roo to the loo if she needed to go in the night and had to quickly add just to the door.  But then later she looked to be pushed out of all the laughter going on between with Alf, Roo, Tori and Raffy and I felt for her seeing her just looking on seemingly from the outside.  I think a lot of her snappy attitude is because she feels jealous, Ryder seems so different when he's around Alf and Roo, more relaxed and happier. She was bang out of order snapping at Tori for what she called interfering but was Tori trying to help. Ryder is more than old enough to decide for himself if he wants a reassessment for his condition.  Quinn did seem to calm down with Tori when they had that quiet talk and Tori said she knew a specialist she could talk to but right after that she told Ryder to get packed as they were leaving the next day when earlier it was going to be the end of the week.  This may seem very unkind and even totally wrong but it did cross my mind whether in a weird way she enjoys playing the martyr. Of course Quinn then had to walk in on Alf and Roo when Roo suggested that Ryder move in with them while Quinn goes back to her work.  Alf was for it but that it was a question of persuading Quinn. It does make a lot of sense, as then she wouldn't have to worry about leaving him on his own as he'd be safe with his granddad and aunt.

Olivia was very torn about whether to go back to work for Axel, I'd wondered about if she was still at Uni.  Although Irene wasn't over the moon about it she respected Olivia's decision to keep it totally professional from on and was naturally concerned Axel had made the move on her.  That meeting with Axel did seem strained but she kept her cool, but there was that  look back at him when she left. She is right not to tell Hunter, it make her feel better initially, but would hurt Hunter for no reason.

While I can see their concern Mason and Tori need to remember Justin is an adult and if he is fine about having a casual relationship with Willow it's his choice.

What has Coco posted that has upset Maggie and Ben so much?

That was meant to be the cove as well?! I guess it explains Robbo's acrobatics with the improvised boat, but the way it was shot and edited it looked like he'd just buried the phone near the Diner. It has crossed my mind that Novak had a gun with him when Robbo found him at the garage/warehouse/extraction point/whatever we're calling it and I'm not sure what happened to it.Too lazy to look up the episode and check.

And that's about all the attention I've given to that storyline today, Ash and Kat playing detective didn't really progress anything. And if Robbo left his vehicle behind, how did he and Kat manage to come back separately?

Alf's episode count this week:Four.

I was firmly on Quinn's side at the start of the episode. However Roo was trying to colour it, she was basically saying that Ryder's better off with her (and Alf but mostly her) than Quinn. But it is hard to disagree with the argument that Ryder's better off with a family than stuck at home on his own while Quinn's off touring the country.(His inability to make friends in the Gold Coast aside.)I did like that Quinn and Ryder finally had a proper conversation and he showed some long-overdue affection towards her rather than just making barbed comments. And I hope that Quinn does realise that it's not just Ryder that's found a family, she has too.I'd like to see her visit the Bay although I suspect her future interaction with Alf will be restricted to being added to the list of people he visits when Ray Meagher needs time off.(Although is it worth mentioning she was meant to have been brought up with at least one half-brother?Has she lost touch with him too?)If Quinn and Ryder are going to be parted, I'm glad it ended the way it did here, with it being amicable and feeling like a positive move. And if we're going to be stuck with Ryder, at least he was less objectionable here, even if he did still treat someone dying like a fun adventure.(If he thinks that's the most exciting thing to happen in the Bay in years, he's in for a big shock.)

So, Coco went to stay with her ultra-conservative grandmother and came back a hippie? Er, how?! (Yes, I know, grandchildren of Diana's friends.I'm still having a hard time imagining her reaction.) The new confident Coco is actually quite enjoyable so far, poor taste in boys aside, so let's see how it goes.

Although I love Roo, she has a side which isn’t pretty that we get to see every now and again. I think it came out with Quinn over Ryder. Roo is such a good mother herself she doesn’t even know where her own daughter is! So it’s a bit hypocritical her being judgmental of Quinn. She was also really childish and quite frankly pathetic for the first few days when Sally returned.

I still didn't agree with the way Quinn was with Roo and Tori on Thursday and still think she's letting her pride rule her somewhat (even though it's perfectly understandable) however it very much feels like Roo wants Ryder for herself so Quinn's comment about Roo taking her son had an element of truth I believe.  It's the only explanation I can think of for Roo's blind defense of him.  This is starting to feel a bit like Maddy i.e. Roo has to look after another kid maybe as a substitute for Martha, I don't know.  It seems as though I may have misjudged Quinn before and underestimated just how much she cares about Ryder.  Prepared to give up her singing to find a job where she could spend more time with him.  Although they both recognised that wouldn't have done them any good.  I would like to know more about why Ryder hasn't made many friends where he was living before.  He does seem sociable although admittedly the two he has at Summer Bay are both female and his initiation of contact with them at the very beginning was purely for romantic interests.  I found myself smiling through the scenes with Alf and Quinn.  I'm sorry she's going so soon as I quite like her but am glad she and Alf have departed on good terms.  I think a lengthy break from one another will do Quinn and Ryder some good anyway.

Coco's back.  Yay.  And she seems to have gained some much needed confidence.  Perhaps she spent time with people around her who didn't judge her.  And she's still quite into Ryder.  Will be interesting to see if anything happens.  Raffy seems to have completely stepped out the way almost supporting Coco.  I wonder if there's a small part of her that still likes Ryder as well.  I'm assuming that it was Ben and Maggie who called Coco away from the Diner when Ryder invited her to go to the pictures with him and Roo.

I had to smile though the scene with Robbo, Kat and Marilyn.  Both of them seemed quite fearful of him.  Marilyn seemed particularly uncomfortable although she now thinks what happened with him and the cops earlier on in the week is nobody else's business.  Hmmm...  It will be interesting to see how he deals with Ash now that he knows he's onto him and is this is now a big problem.  I wonder if Novak's bosses know Robbo was behind his death.

If that was the same cove Alf, Scarlett, Justin and Kat visited and the cove Robbo buried Novak it is a busy place. Would Novak's bosses know he's dead yet?  Good point Red, how did Robbo get back from wherever he and Kat went to?  Both Maz and Kat did look very uneasy when he turned up at The Diner and Kat knows a lot more than Maz does.   Kat was still in denial over what Ash had found, making excuses for Robbo, and angry at Ash breaking into Robbo's car, but it's got her cop's instinct working. I'd forgotten Robbo had that link to the flat in his car so was able to discover Ash had been poking around, next thing he'll do is check his boot and realise his bag has gone. He hasn't discovered Ash broke into his car as he used his key on the drivers side.  What is going to happen in the next two weeks is gearing up for the Australian end of season cliff hanger.

Forget to mention we see Kat & Ash find the red tackle box that we last saw lying on the sea bed - glossing over how they found it or what made them look for it in the first place.  I'm assuming - mustn't do that - they worked out it had been dumped near where Robbo had moored his boat all those months ago.

Martha is effectively still on the run with Hugo in America, last we heard, so not totally surprising Roo was unable to find her.  Good resolution with Quinn, Ryder, Alf and Roo.  Ryder made a good point that yes, he'd be going home with his mum but then he'd be left to fend for himself while she went off on her singing cruises. It was nice she offered to get an ordinary job so he's be happy but he knew she wouldn't be which wouldn't be right for either of them as she'd resent him sooner or later. Nice little talk with Quinn and Alf and him saying he should have tried harder to keep in contact but from what I could gather in their earlier talks she broke off contact with him. At least him being with Alf and Roo her mind will be at ease while she's' away, plus he seemed OK with having more test to get to the bottom of his sleep/behaviour  problems.  Sweet reunion between Coco and Ryder and despite the teasing and Coco's denial they are both interested in each other and Raffy is willing to stand aside to let whatever will happen will. Coco and Raffy are the only two he has had contact with since he's been in the bay, not many lads his age around, maybe that'll change when he starts school.

Coco really is a different girl and then we found out why, she got nicked on a demo!   Ziggy'll be impressed! Maybe Diana did know and this is her new life, she didn't warn Maggie or Ben did she? Didn't do a very good job of hiding that paper away, suggesting she wanted Maggie and Ben to find it. Be interesting to see how Ben reacts when Coco announces she wants to see Ryder the same boy she got her dad to scare off when he rang a while back. I'm guessing Raffy hasn't had a chance of telling her VJ (her previous crush) has left town. I think you got it right Slade Ben & Maggie called Coco home to talk about what they had discovered.  Have to say impressed Ben didn't flip out but seemed willing to get Coco's side of things first.
