Why did Roo quit teaching? I remember Roo cut her teaching hours down to help Alf and Martha, but why is she doing tutoring now instead of teaching?

Anyone's guess! The first we heard she'd quit teaching completely was just before she started up the tutoring.

It makes zero sense for Roo to not go back to teaching. She was bored and jobless for a while, yet there is a teacher shortage in Australia right now. I’m a teacher and schools are desperate for substitute teachers - at the moment, all you need is a teaching degree and you are guaranteed casual work (if not long term positions).

For tutoring, clients usually pay $50 an hour unless the tutor is some sort of incredible genius (and Roo makes her clients study in the diner rather than a quiet study room so it’s not fantastic service worthy of $100 an hour). Casual teaching is between $300-$400 per day. Roo was struggling for clients besides Heather so I’m assuming she was lucky to earn $100 a week. Also Heather wasn’t even paying half the time.

The house that Lyrik are currently in, how did it work back in the day? Years ago there was a little apartment type of thing opposite their front door. Looking at it now and seeing external scenes that were shot this year, I can't figure out how it would've been possible as there is no space for it at the front of their house.
