Chapter 14 Back at the Hunter house, Matilda is in the kitchen and goes into the living room when she sees Beth entering. Matilda: I'm making some hot chocolate do you want some? Beth: Yes, thanks sweet. Matilda: Jokingly: Sooo...whens the wedding! Beth: That’s enough Matilda! Matilda: I was just asking. Beth looks at Matilda Matilda: Ok...ok im sorry Matilda gives the hot chocolate to Beth, and walks off slowly. Matilda: I still think you should get married. Beth: I heard that Mattie. Matilda: Good. Beth: Look we've only just got back together after a difficult break-up, so I think it’s a little bit early to think about getting married, don't you? Matilda: Nope. Beth: Thought you'd say that. Matilda: Well, im going to bed, night. Beth: Night, love Matilda: ...Mum Beth: What? Matilda: I’m really glad you and Tony are back together again. Beth: Thanks sweet, so am I. A few days have passed, its 10:30am at Jack's place. Jack is working and Tony is at home sorting out the washing. As he does so, the engagement ring he was going to give Beth all those months ago falls out of a pair of his jeans. He bends down to pick it up, and looks at it. He goes over to the sofa and sits down looking at the ring. A few minutes later he gets up goes to his bedroom and puts the ring back in its box. He leaves it on his bedside table next to the photo of him and Beth. Beth is working at Noahs, Tony walks in and it is obvious he is distracted by something. Tony: Hi Beth. Beth: Hi, you okay? Tony: Yep. Beth: Good, well can I get you a beer? Tony: Oh, I just came to say hello, thats all. Beth: Well you might as well stick around for a bit. Tony: You know what I have to go Beth...sorry Tony heads out of the bar Beth: Tony where are you going? The day after, and Tony heads round to Beth's house, he knocks at the door. Tony: Hi Beth doesn't say anything Tony: I’m sorry about last night..can i come in? Beth moves out of the way Tony: So....what have you been up to? Beth: Nothing really. Tony: ...right Beth: Why did you leave like that all of a sudden? Have I done something to upset you or something. Tony: No its nothing like that Beth: Well, what is it then? Tony doesn't answer Beth: Tony, your not getting cold feet about us are you? Because if you are we can take things more slowly. Tony: It's actually the opposite. Beth: What do you mean? Tony: I just had things to think about you know. Beth: I could tell that from your face, Tony: Yeah, well thinking takes time. Beth: Well what were you thinking about? Tony is getting nervous Tony: Oh, you know...stuff Beth: Stuff...what kind of stuff? Tony: I just needed time to think about you and me I guess. Beth: ..right..and? Tony: Look, I wanted to wait a while to ask you this but.... Tony gets the engagement ring out of his pocket and gets down on one knee and holds Beth's hand. Chapter 15 Beth: I don't know what to say. Tony:Yes would be good! Beth: Its just it’s so out of the blue. Tony: But we love each other right, so why wait? Beth: .I’m joking Tony..... Yes! Tony: Yes as in you'll marry me Beth: Yes, yes, yes! Tony gets up and kisses Beth. Beth starts crying, Tony then puts the ring on her finger. Beth: It’s beautiful Tony. Tony: Not as beautiful as you Beth They hug Tony:You don't know how long i've waited to hear you say yes. Beth: How long? Tony: I bought the ring before we broke up. Beth: What, you were going to propose all that time ago? Tony: Yes and I never stopped loving you Beth. Beth starts crying even more as Tony gives her another hug. Matilda enters the house Matilda: What have I missed? She then sees the ring on her mum’s finger Matilda: Oh, don't tell me you proposed? Tony: Yep, you got it. Matilda: What did I tell you mum, about you two getting married? Tony: What did you say? Beth: Oh just something stupid about It being too soon for us to be thinking about getting married. Tony: But you are happy? Beth: How could you even ask that? Of cause I am! Matilda: This is fantastic! Matilda goes over and gives both Beth and Tony a big hug. Matilda: I can't believe your getting married again mum, its awesome! Beth: Yeah it is Tony: Well I think this calls for celebration, i’ll ask Jack and Luc to come over, and tell them the good news. Beth: Don't be too long. Tony: I won't Tony heads next door to Jacks place, he knocks at the door. Jack opens it. Tony: Hey mate, you alright? Jack: Yeah i'm really good thanks dad Tony: Good, good. I was just wondering could you and Lucas come over in a minute? Me and Beth have got some exciting news to tell you Jack: Sound's intriguing Tony laughs Jack: Lucas! Lucas comes into the living room Lucas: Yep, oh hi dad Tony: Hey mate Lucas: What did you want to ask me? Jack: Dad wants us to go around to Beths place, his got some exciting news to tell us Lucas: Mmm... I gotta found out what it is, sounds interesting Tony: Great! Tony, Jack and Lucas head next door to Beths place, Beth and Mattie are sitting at the dining table Beth: Hi guys Lucas: Hey Beth Jack: Hi. So... whats this big news you've got to tell us then? I can't make up my mind what to do...so this is where you guys can to help me . As I said there is a fair few chapters to come that I have already written but would you like me to carry on with it and write the wedding and you know their life after that??
