Heres the next chapter : Chapter 6 Jack: Okay I would just like to say, thanks very much for coming everyone and making it the night that it was. I hope you enjoyed the music and the dancing as well. Its about 10 o'clock and its getting dark so, people stop dancing and are heading home. Matilda, Lucas, Martha, Jack, Beth and Tony are still at the beach. Martha and Jack are admiring the scenary, Matilda and Lucas are eating the leftovers, while Beth and Tony are mucking about in the sand and sea Beth: Hey! Tony is sloshing water over her Tony: Oh, sorry! He then does it again. They both laugh. Lucas: Dad and Beth are getting on well arn't they? Matilda: Yes they are. Lucas: You sound particulary interested, whats going on? Matilda: Well, I kinda told mum that her and Tony should get back together. Lucas: It obviously worked! Matilda: Mmmm I wouldn’t be too sure about that one though. Lucas: Why not? Matilda: Mum still gets pretty....edgy when I ask her about Tony. Lucas: Dad’s the same when I talk to him about Beth. Matilda: You know what, I’ve got a feeling we are looking at two people who are in love with each other but don’t want to admit it! Lucas: I think your right! Beth: Tonight was really good fun Tony: Yeah it was, do you want to come back to my place? Beth: That would be good. Tony: Cool, well, I suppose we better get going then. Beth: Okay. She didn't really want to leave the beach she was having such a good time with everybody, but especially Tony. Lucas: You and Beth seem to be hitting it off Tony: We were just mucking about, mate Tony carries on walking. Lucas smiles. Lucas walks away, but Tony thinks there might be something between him and Beth again. Jack’s place Tony is in the kitchen making drinks Beth can see into Tony's bedroom from the lounge and sees a picture of her and him together on his bedside table. She is taken aback by the sight of it. She stares at it. Tony: Do you want a drink? Beth doesn’t say anything. Tony: ...Beth? Beth: Oh sorry, what? Tony: You okay? Beth: I’m fine. Tony: Drink? Beth: Thanks. Tony passes Beth a glass of wine. She is still thinking about the photo of her and and Tony. Tony: Do you want something else? Beth: No, wines good. We should probably get going actually. Tony: What, already, you only just got here! Beth: Sorry i’ve got things to do Tony.....right Beth: Mattie, we’re going. Matilda: Already. Tony: That’s exactly what I just said. Beth looks at Matilda, shes having a really good time Beth: Tony is is okay, if Matilda stays for a bit. Tony: Sure. Beth: Right, well im off. Tony: I really enjoyed spending time with you tonight. Beth: I did too. Tony: Night Beth. Beth: Goodnight Tony. I love keeping you in suspense thats why its taking so long for Beth and Tony to get there acts together! Chapter 7 Beth opens the door to her house and puts her bag down, and heads for bed. She opens her bedside cabinet draw, and reveals a necklace that Tony gave her before they broke up. She looks at it, thinking about what her life would have been like with Tony still in it. She goes into the living room and sits there for a while, she puts the necklace on the coffee table in the living room. She then goes to bed. At Jack’s place, Tony is in bed, but he can't sleep, so he gets up. He looks at the photo of him and Beth and gently strokes it. He knows he still loves Beth , but he doesn’t know if she feels the same way, so he tries to forget about her by going in to the living room and watching TV. At the Hunter house, Beth can't sleep. So she gets up, and makes herself a cup of hot chocolate and goes to sit down at the dining table. Matilda, hears her get up and goes to see her. Matilda: Hey mum, its only 2:30am, why are you up? Beth: Couldn't sleep, Mattie you should get back to bed, get some sleep. Matilda: Well, i won't be able to sleep, knowing that your here sobbing, whats up? Beth: ....Nothing Matilda: You can't fall me that easily, mum. Beth: Well at Jacks place, I saw a picture of me and Tony, on Tonys bedside table. It just made me upset, thats all. Matilda: Why? Beth: Take yesterday, I loved spending time with Tony. But I don’t know whether I want to go back there again, you know. I guess I’m just undecided about whether I truely love him or not. Matilda: The fact that your saying that has got to mean something. A few days ago I couldn’t even mention Tony’s name without you saying how you two couldn’t be together. Beth: Thats true. But what if he doesn’t feel the same way you know, what then? Matilda: This is the thing, you don’t know. Beth: So you think I should find out. Matilda: Exactly. Beth: Mmm....anyway you go back to bed, get some sleep please. Matilda: Okay, as long as you’ll promise me that you’ll talk to Tony. Beth: I will. Matilda smiles Matilda: Night. Beth: Goodnight, love. Beth makes a bed up on the sofa. The next morning at Jack’s place Tony is asleep on the sofa. Beth approaches Jacks door, she wonders weather she should go in, but her fridge isn't working, so she wants to see weather Tony can fix it. Beth knocks at the door, she can see Tony from were she is standing, and doesn't want to disturb him, so she walks off down the path. But Tony gets up anyway in his dressing gown and answers the door. Tony: Hi. Beth: Hi I see you've only just got up. Tony: I didn't sleep very well last night. Beth: I didn’t either. Tony:...What can i do for you? Beth: I was just wondering weather you would be able to come over and have a take at my fridge, its not working? Tony: Sure, no worries. Beth: Thank you so much. Tony: Thats okay, just give me ten minutes to freshen up. Beth: Great, i’ll see you then. Tony: See ya. Tony shuts the door Ten minutes later, Tony knocks at Beth’s door. Beth: Hi, come in. Tony: Thanks, so this fridge then, whats up with it? Beth: Thats what I hoped you could work out. Tony: I'll try my best. Beth: Thanks a lot Tony Tony: No problem. Tony starts dismantling the fridge, Beth sits at the dining table. Tony: Ah ha! Beth: Found something? Tony: I'm gonna get my spanner, from the toolbox, where did you put it? Beth: On the living room table. Tony: Okay, thanks Tony goes into the living room and picks up his spanner from the toolbox, as he does so he sees the necklace he gave Beth on the table, his surprised to see it on the living room table. He looks at it. But Beth doesn't know he has found it. Beth moves over to were Tony is, and sees he has found the necklace. Tony: This was the necklace I gave you wasn't it? Beth:....Yeah...it is, i'm sorry I meant to put it away. Tony: Why did you have it out? Beth: I was looking at it, late last night. There is an awkward silence between them Tony: Well this fridge isn’t gonna fix itself. Beth: No. Tony walks towards the fridge, but drops the spanner, he bends down to pick it up and so does Beth, they end up both holding the spanner hand on hand. Beth: .....sorry. She lets go of the spanner and Tonys hand They look each other in the eyes. Teasers for the next couple of chapters! - Will Tony and Beth finally admit their true feelings?? Matilda hatches a plan!!
