I had to bring Rhys back really, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to add more tension between Bethony before they live happily ever after...if they do live happily ever after that is . Chapter 20 Matilda comes out of her room Matilda: What is all the noise about?! She notices Rhys standing in front of her Rhys: Mattie, hey! Rhys moves over to give Matilda a hug but she pulls away Matilda: What do you think you are doing here? Tony: Exactly what I have been trying to ask for the last half hour! Beth: Can everybody just calm down a bit please! Rhys: I’m sorry to be such an inconvenience to you all. Rhys walks out of the door but Beth catches up with him and goes out to the outside porch. Tony goes after her. Tony: Beth, what are you doing? Beth: Can you just give us a minute? Tony: ...Thats all your getting He walks back inside. Rhys sits down on the front porch, Beth goes to sit next to him Beth: Sorry about all this. Rhys: Don’t apoligize, I deserve it. Beth:...you don’t Rhys turns to face Beth Rhys: You’ve changed your tune a bit Beth: Well I must admit i’m still pretty shocked that your here but Tony had no right speaking to you like that before. Rhys: He did actually. Beth turns to look Rhys Rhys: He just wants to protect you Beth: He can go a bit over the top some times though. Rhys: Ha, yeah I kind of noticed that. They both laugh faintly. Tony comes out Tony: Beth, are you coming back in now? Beth: I will do, just give me a minute. Tony doesn’t say anything he just goes back into the house looking annoyed Rhys: He is a great guy, i’m really happy for you Beth. Beth: Yeah he is. Its just taken a long time for us to get to where we are now. Rhys: I’m sure you will be very happy with each other. Beth: Thanks. Rhys: Well I better be going then. Both Beth and Rhys get up from the porch. Beth: Where are you going to go? Rhys: Thats a good question. No idea to be honest. Beth: I know I wasn’t too keen on the idea to start off with but if you really can’t find anywhere to stay, you can stay with us. Rhys: Look thanks for the offer but I don’t think your fiance would be too keen on that idea. Beth: Oh don’t worry about him. I’d find a way of convincong him into letting you stay eventually. They both smile Rhys: I guess I better be going then Beth: Yeah. Rhys pulls Beth into a tight embrace of which Tony sees from the window. Back inside the house Tony: He is such a...I can’t even think of a word for him! Matilda: What about loser? Tony: Good choice. Matilda: Whats taking mum so long? Matilda goes over to the window where Tony is. Tony: He is her ex-husband for goodness sake and she is hugging him like they are still married thats whats going on! Back outside the house Beth and Rhys pull away from the hug Rhys: Its been really nice to see you again, even if it wasn’t for long. Beth: You too. Rhys: Bye. I don't like making you guys cry...but I do like adding a bit of tension between Beth and Tony so that they can make-up again . I was just thinking of something that could be quite fun...if any of you would like to PM me your ideas for an ending to this fic I would love to see what you come up with. You never know I may use it . Just PM me if your interested . This is just a quick update. Chapter 21 Beth: I’ll talk Tony around somehow. I just don’t like the thought of you having no where to stay. Rhys: Thanks for the offer, but i’ll find somewhere, don’t worry. Rhys walks off. Beth: If you change you mind you know where to find me. Rhys turns around and smiles. Beth walks back inside the house. Tony: Has he gone? Beth: Yep. Tony: Why were you being so nice to him? He treated you so badly. Beth: I couldn’t stand the thought of him being out on the streets. Tony: Beth don’t be stupid, he will find somewhere. Matilda: Tony’s right mum. Beth: Hope so. Matilda: I’m going to go to bed guys, so i’ll see you in the morning okay. Tony: Night love. Beth: Sleep well, sweet. Matilda goes to her room while Beth and Tony head into the kitchen. Beth: sarcastically Thanks for being so supportive Tony, I really appreciate it. Tony: Don’t be like that Beth. I just don’t want to see you get hurt. Beth: How is putting up a friend for the night going to hurt me. Tony: Well when that person is your ex-husband I think there is a pretty big chance, don’t you? Beth: I don’t know...look i’m going to go to bed okay. Tony: See you tomorrow then? Beth: Okay. Tony leans in to kiss Beth. He is just about to go out of the door. Tony: Beth. We are okay aren’t we?
