/\ /\ Oh, thank you all so much for the comments!

Here is my update...

SUMMER BAY HIGH BASEMENT

Sally and Fitzy are sitting in the little room when they hear footsteps and loud voices.

FITZY:

It can't be Peter and Jack. They wouldn't talk this loud.

The door flies open and Tracey and Johnny enter.

TRACEY:

Well they don't love you as much as we thought.

SALLY:

What are you talking about?

TRACEY:

We made them a deal - wanted to deal with them on even grounds. But no. They decided not to come and let us kill you.

SALLY:

What?

TRACEY:

You heard me. Now Johnny, will it be long and slow or will we have mercy and make it quick.

Johnny walks towards Sally and grabs her shoulders.

JOHNNY:

Why do it quick? I can make your last few minutes on earth quite fun you know.

SALLY:

Please Johnny...

JOHNNY:

Awe, she's begging. I like that.

SALLY:

Just let us go, please!

She starts crying and Johnny smiles viciously.

JOHNNY:

Now you see, that is almost touching my heart. But not quite.

He takes a knife out of his pocket (it was in a holder, ok) and holds it against her throat.

Any last words?

PETER:

Let her go.

Johnny spins around to see Peter and Jack pointing their guns at him and Tracey.

PETER:

This is over Cooper. Now get your hands off of Sally.

JOHHNY:

I don't agree with you. This isn't over yet.

He pulls Sally so she stands in front of him.

JOHNNY:

Come on, detective. Shoot.

SALLY:

Peter...

PETER:

Don't worry, Sal.

JACK:

Still pointing his gun to Tracey.

You okay Lara?

FITZY:

I'm fine.

PETER:

Look, Johnny - we can stand here all night. Sooner or later you're going to give in. So you can just let Sally go then we can finish this.

While Peter is talking, Fitzy creeps up behind Johnny since everybody's attention is on Peter. She grabs the knife in a swift move.

FITZY:

Let's see how brave you are now.

JOHNNY:

I can still break her neck.

Peter drops his gun and storms forward, pushing Johnny down. Johnny pushes Sally with such a force that she falls against the wall and lies still, her body limp. With all the attention focused at Peter and Johnny, Tracey grabs Peter's gun and points it at Jack, who is still watching Peter and Johnny. Fitzy however, sees this and storms forward, pushing Jack down. A shot goes off and she falls to her side.

JACK:

Lara!

Tracey shoots again, only to find that the gun isn't loaded anymore. She jumps onto Jack and they grab at each other's necks.

MCGRATH:

Hold it right there!

Everybody look at the door to find the majority of the Summer Bay police force there. McGrath and one of the other cops step forward, one grabbing Tracey and the other grabbing Johnny.

MCGRATH:

Tracey Thompson and Johnny Cooper... we arrest you for the kidnapping and assault on Sally Fletcher and Lara Fitzgerald. Other charges will be made as well. You have the right to remain silent...

With everything under control, Peter rushes forward, taking Sally's limp body in his arms.

PETER:

Sal? Sally, wake up. I love you...

SALLY:

I love you too.

PETER:

You're all right?

SALLY:

I hit my head... but I'm fine.

PETER:

Sal, I swear... I will never let anything happen to you again.

IN THE OTHER CORNER

Jack is holding Fitzy who is bleeding badly.

JACK:

It'll be all right, Lara. It'll be fine, you'll see.

MCGRATH:

We called an ambulance, they're on the way.

Jack nods, not taking his eyes off Lara.

JACK:

You hear that, sweetie? You're going to be okay and as soon as you're up for it, I'm taking you on our first date. How does that sound?

She smiles weakly, her eyes still closed.

JACK:

I love you, Lara.

He kisses her on top of her head as the sound of an ambulance becomes clearer.
