PETER'S APARTMENT Peter's phone starts ringing. He answers it with his eyes still closed. PETER: Peter Baker... What? Peter sits up. Sally stirs next to him and he puts his hand on her shoulder. She opens her eyes, looking at him with a frown. PETER: No... Sally and Pippa are both at my place. Cassie and Rocco should be there though... We're on our way. Sally sits up, looking at Peter with a frown. SALLY: Peter? What's going on? PETER: Your house has been torched. She claps her hand over her mouth, looking at him in shock. SALLY: But... Cassie and Rocco.. they're in there! PETER: We have to go. Now. She nods and they run off, down to his car, Pippa in Sally's arms. FLETCHER HOUSE - THE HOUSE IS IN FLAMES. Sally is crying and Peter puts his arms around her shoulders. PETER: Sal... SALLY: No... She hands Pippa to Peter and runs in. SALLY: ROCCO! CASS! Peter bites his lip. PETER: Colleen! Take Pippa! He thrusts Pippa into Colleen's arms and runs after Sally. COLLEEN: Noooo! Detective Baker! Wait! PETER: Sal! Sally? He hears her coughing and runs up the stairs, still calling out to her. Then he hears a crash and someone screaming. PETER: SALLY! IN A TRUCK NEARBY. Cassie and Rocco are lying in each others arms. CASSIE: I can't believe I'm going to say this... but I'll stay right here forever. ROCCO: Right here in the truck or in my arms? CASSIE: In your arms... They kiss and Cassie frowns when her cell phone starts ringing. CASSIE: Who would call this time of the night? PLACE WHERE MACCA AND DIESEL ARE STAYING. DIESEL: I told you that we weren't going to hurt Sally! I love her. MACCA: Whatever. I need to get Cassie. DIESEL: And I need to get Sally! I can't believe you torched the house! MACCA: I didn't think it would start burning so quickly! DIESEL: You're such an idiot! If Sally gets hurt... MACCA: You don't scare me! Now go to sleep.
