Sally is trying to deny the strong feelings she has for a friend, Leah has a secret, Peter is trying to convince the woman of his dreams to give him a chance etc. Rachel lives in the city and Kim is anywhere but in the fic. PREVIOUSLY IN SUMMER BAY. AT AMANDA'S HOUSE. DREW: Amanda... I know we hurt Belle and I never for a second wanted that. But you and I... we are made for each other. Can't you see that? I love you. They kiss. SUMMERBAY POLICE STATION Jack is looking for a file. JACK: It's odd... The file was right here! FITZY: Maybe detective Baker took it. JACK: Yeah, but what would Peter want with Johnny's file? He's already in jail. FITZY: Good point. She looks up at the shelf where a few files are laying. Maybe it's up there! She reaches up, but her hand can't reach the files. Jack leans over and takes it. Fitzy turns around and they bump into each other. FITZY: Oh, sorry. JACK: No problem. They look at each other. PETER'S OFFICE. A closed file is laying on the desk. The name JOHNNY COOPER is printed on it. A few photos of Rocco, Ric, Mattie, Sally, Cassie, Alf, Martha and Dan are laying next to the file. She thought it was the end... SALLY: I'm just glad this thing with Johnny is over. But now, there is one more thing that she has to do. SALLY: Sure, I'll testify. But there's not much more I can do though, is there? PETER: There is something... He did. She didn't. MATILDA: Lucas and Belle slept together. But I don't think I'm ready yet. And I'm scared that... SALLY DOESN’T SEEM TO HAVE AN APPETITE. ALF: Is everything all right, love? Sal? SALLY: Hmm? Oh, yeah. Everything’s fine. RIC: But you’ve hardly touched your food. SALLY: I’m just not hungry. Looks at her watch Look, I have to go. Peter asked me to go to the station – there’s something about the court case that he wants to talk about. RIC: Great, can you give me a lift please? I want to see Mattie before she goes to school. SALLY: Of course, no problem. Ric and Sally leave. CASSIE: Something’s up with Sal. ALF: Yeah, I know what you mean, love. I’ve seen it too. CASSIE: Do you think she’ll talk to us? ALF: When she needs to. CASSIE: It’s just so hard, not knowing what’s wrong and how to help her. ALF: I know, love. We just have to trust Sal. No matter what’s wrong, she’ll do the right thing. AT THE POLICE STATION Sally walks in. Jack walks up to her. JACK: Hey Sal! What can I do for you? SALLY: I’m here to see Peter actually. About Johnny. JACK: Yeah, I thought that was over. SALLY: It is – there are just some things about the court case that we need to clear out. JACK: Oh, I see. You can just go in then. SALLY: Thanks. She walks into Peter’s office. SALLY: Hey. PETER: Hi, Sal! How are you doing? SALLY: I’m all right. I’m just glad this thing with Johnny is over. PETER: Not yet. He still needs to be sentenced. Which is why I need you. SALLY: Sure, I'll testify. But there's not much more I can do though, is there? PETER: There is something... You can ask Rocco to testify against Johnny. Sorry about the Ric/Mattie spoiler not being in here yet. When I started typing, I realised that my episodes were way too long so that'll be in Episode 1.2! What else will Peter ask Sally?
