I need to be there, with her! PETER: There's nothing you can do mate. DAN: What if she dies? SALLY: Dan, you've got to stay positive. DAN: I can't. If something happens to her... How am I going to cope without her? PETER: There's nothing I can say that'll help now. But I wish there was. DAN: Look, if you two don't mind... I need to be alone now. That okay? SALLY: Yeah, we understand. Come Peter. Sally and Peter take hands and leave. AT THE HOSPITAL Emma and Matilda are waiting at the desk. NURSE: I'm sorry, doctor Armstrong is in theatre, can't you talk to Dr Green? MATILDA: No. I want to talk to Rachel. EMMA: Matilda, we need to get back to school MATILDA: Then you go. I'll wait until Rachel can see me. I'll be fine, go on! EMMA: Are you sure? MATILDA: Yes! EMMA: I think I should call Tony and ask him first. MATILDA: Okay. Here - his number is on my phone. HOLDEN/HUNTER HOME Jack comes in. JACK: Fitzy? FITZY: Comes out of the kitchen. Hey, why aren't you at work? JACK: I wanted to see how you were doing. FITZY: I'm fine! Now go back to work before you get in trouble! JACK: Are you chasing me away? FITZY: Yes I am because I have a surprize for you and you're going to make me spoil it! Now go! He quickly kisses her and leaves. Fitzy smiles and goes back to the kitchen. FLETCHER HOUSE Peter and Sally walk in. PETER: It's quiet. SALLY: Yeah... PETER: We're alone, right? SALLY: Of course, everyone is at work - or school. Alf took the day off - he's gone fishing. PETER: Hmmm... we should use this to our advantage. Sally laughs and they kiss. They fall back on the couch, kissing passionately. Peter pulls back. PETER: Sal? SALLY: Hmm? PETER: I know we said we were going to take this slow... but... They both sit upright. PETER: I'm ready to take this relationship to the next level. If you are. If you're not I will totally understand. SALLY: Peter? PETER: Yeah? SALLY: Stop talking and kiss me. He smiles and obeys... RACHEL: Call Dan Baker for me please. Tell him to come here as soon as possible. NURSE: Will do. Doctor Armstrong... there's someone here for you. Rachel turns around and sees Mattie. RACHEL: Matilda? MATILDA: Could I talk to you? It'll only take a minute. RACHEL: Yeah. Sure. FLETCHER HOUSE Sally's room. Sally and Peter are lying in each other's arms, looking at each other. PETER: Let's go away. SALLY: Go away? Where? PETER: I don't know. Not forever... just for a while. Me and you... away from everything. SALLY: That sounds amazing... PETER: But? SALLY: I don't know if it's a good idea. Not with everything that's going on with Leah... PETER: Is that it? SALLY: What do you mean is that it? PETER: This stuff with Leah... is that the only reason why you don't want to go away with me? SALLY: Of course that's the only reason! What else could it be? PETER: You don't think we're moving too fast? SALLY: No. Do you? PETER: No... I love you. SALLY: I love you too. IN HOSPITAL Rachel and Matilda are sitting opposite each other. RACHEL: Is there any chance that you might be pregnant? MATILDA: No. I thought I was, but I did a home test and it was negative. RACHEL: How long after intercourse did you do the test? MATILDA: I'm not sure... A week or two. RACHEL: That's nowhere near enough time for it to show on a urine test. The hormone only shows in urine after at least six weeks. MATILDA: Oh. RACHEL I'm going to do a bloodtest, just to be safe. MATILDA: When will I have the results? RACHEL: Immediately. HOLDEN/HUNTER HOUSE Tony and Emma enter the house. TONY: Something smells nice. Fitzy comes out of the kitchen. FITZY: Hey! I'm just making dinner... TONY: Oh? For you and Jack? FITZY: There's enough for everyone... TONY: No, I'm taking Emma to the diner. FITZY: Oh, sorry - forgot my manners. I'm Lara Fitzgerald. EMMA: Emma McKenzie. TONY: And Mattie and Luc will probably visit Belle and Ric - so the two of you will be all alone. FITZY: Thanks, Tony. TONY: You two kids just enjoy it! AT THE HOSPITAL Dan walks in. He walks up to the nurse. DAN: Rachel told you to call me? NURSE: She'll be out in a minute, just wait here. DAN: I'm sick of waiting!
