The 2006 season opener saw a number tweaks to the opening titles. Scott Hunter and Hayley Lawson were removed following their departure in the season finale, and the new character of Rachel Armstrong was added before she’d been seen on-screen.

Rachel was put into a new shot with Leah, leaving husband Dan to feature in a new shot alongside ex-wife Amanda and Colleen. Jack was moved into a new shot with Kim and Robbie, Martha and Tasha featured in a new shot together, and Lucas joined the other teens in a foursome shot. With Beth joining Tony and Alf in another new shot, the duo shot of Irene and Barry from the previous year was reinstated.
