‘Early Years’ return to 5*

Channel 5‘ss sister channel 5★ will next week begin another repeat run of ‘sHome and Away: The Early Years‘s episodes from mid-2000.

Whilst most attention has been focused on the UK channel’ss current ‘sHome and Away: Summer Bay’ss Sexiest‘s countdown during the show’ss summer break, eagle-eyed members of our forum noticed that an additional daily double-bill of episodes from the 2000 season has appeared in the TV guides from next week.

Channel 5 today confirmed to Back to the Bay that these episodes will “run for the foreseeable future“.

UK fans may remember the original repeat run that aired on the channel, then called ‘sFive Life‘s from May-December 2007. Dubbed ‘sHome and Away: The Early Years‘s (not to be confused with 7Two’ss actual early years showings), the repeats started from Episode 2841, the episode Channel 5 first broadcast when they started airing the show in July 2001.

Sadly when the show took it’ss Christmas break, the repeats disappeared and did not return, much to the disappointment of fans.

Episode 2853 – Old family & friends return for Sally’ss wedding to Kieran

This time around the repeats will begin two weeks later with Episodes 2852 & 2853, originally shown in Australia in June 2000, which sees the arrival of many old characters for Sally & Kieran’ss ill-fated wedding.

The double bill episodes will air at 4pm every weekday from Tuesday 27th August 2013.

5★ can be found on Freeview channel 30, and Sky channel 176. For details on other platforms, please see the 5★ website
