So, I have a radio show. Exciting, I know. You can listen to it from 2-4pm every Wednesday afternoon (today :o ) at http://www.bay-radio.co.uk. It's not much, just a small show on a university radio station, but still, it's mine and I like it! :)

But yeah, I was wondering if you lot could help me out and record yourself saying "Chris Jenkins" and "Aberystwyth" and send them to me. Don't worry about sounding good, I just want a load of people saying it so I can string it together and make a few jingles. A crappy desktop mic and Windows' built in Sound Recorder would also be just fine.

Also, don't worry about the pronunciation of the second one, the worse it is, the better it is. If you can get it right then awesome, but I'd like some failed attempts at its pronunciation stuck into my jingle too, so just pronounce it however you think it would/should be said.

So please, if anyone's willing to take 2 mins to do this, I'd much appreciate it. And give you free cookies. And maybe on-air shout-outs. Who knows.

Oh, and listen. :P

Sure, I should be able to do this later tonight, or tomorrow, for you - if that's ok timeframe? :)

Hmm, is that in Scotland somewhere? I remember a couple of my mates did a music course in Aberysthsomething a few years ago :)

I think it's in Wales, but I'm not totally sure!

Yep, it is in Wales.

^^ Aber-east-with? I don't know. I've been sitting here for a good ten minutes trying to figure it out :P

I think that's close, but I kinda pronounce it like this... Abe(Abba)-ryst(wrist) wyth(with). So it's Abba-wrist-with. LOL! I think.

Argh Welsh, so freakin hard to get your tongue around! :P

Chris, are you at Aberystwyth Uni?? My sis's best friend is also there, that's why I ask. It's so beautiful in Aberystwyth.

Edit: Thanks for that Dan. So now we know how to say it.

I've done one, but how do I send it to you? It's currently sitting in WMP.

Ooh, I completely forgot about this thread. :o

If you've made one, please email it to me on [email protected] . As soon as I get a few together I'll start mixing them and actually make a jingle.

I've become Studio and Technical Manager since I made this thread. I'm slowly putting in place my evil plan to take over the station. :D

I'm on again from 2-4pm today if anyone feels like listening. *hint hint*

You can listen at http://www.bay-radio.co.uk and can get involved by adding us on MSN/Windows Live Messenger on [email protected], texting us on 81400 and starting your message with the word 'Bay' (text cost your standard network rate) or joining the Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=35106606541
