One of the things I enjoyed most with Morag in the 80s is that she looked at Summer Bay people as a wonderland of mad people and yet Morag was the most mad person in Summer Bay. I can understand why her character didn’t last long in the 80s as her character was too one dimensional to fit in with show changing its focus and I don’t think the producers wanted to change Morag to make her fit in. That's why 2000s Morag would fitting in much better as regular as there more was were dimensions to her and she was much more. realistic . Because the problem with 80s Morag, she was a bit closed off for storylines.

Eve "Zoe McCallister" Jacobsen - Emily Perry

I thought Zoe was the new Marilyn before Zoe was known as the stalker. -
Martha Stewart Sr - Belinda Giblin

I would like Anne Charleston to play her as she has never been in H&A. -

Ruth is away so much these days it feels like she is no longer on the show. In fact since Maddy left her character has somewhat felt redundant. -
I love how on 30th anniversary special Judy said she does not miss it and I got impression that reason why she does not miss it becouse she knows she sitll be there today if she wanted too.

Judy Nunn was hell of an actress. But I think Judy preferred Ailsa to be a suppoting role as she wanted to spend more time in the dressing room to type novels. I always wish we got to see Ailsa meet Beth Hunter.

Leah Patterson/Baker - Ada Nicodemou

I mean by personality not by looks. Irene is too brash to be the town " words of Wisdom " . I mean Irene could be more like that of course if PTB wanted to make Irene likeable but PTB seem to what make Irene brash and petty these days. -
Martha Stewart Sr - Belinda Giblin

I wish they had aother actress to play her as, nothing against Belinda Giblin, but she already played 2 other characters on H&A. -
Donald Fisher - Norman Coburn

It’s shame we didn’t see Donald give Angie walk of shame. -
Irene is so unlikeable this days and has be since aroud 2013!. I just hate how rude and crude Irene is. Lynne Mcgranger is very nice lady and so don’t want to lose her but Irene is just horrible person this days!. Who agrees?.

The actress has health problems!

Evelyn "Evie" MacGuire - Philippa Northeast

Josh was not completely guilty in killing Charlotte as it was partly self defense. He was protecting the community as Charlotte would have killed everyone in Summer Bay by now if she had lived Had Charlotte been around still when the Moragns arrived she would got all Morgan’s killed. -
Matt really was completely wasted and he had so much potential to had bigger storylines and was so wasted.
-
Matt left Summer Bay completely unnoticed! The episode after Matt left it was like he never existed. He was supposed to be close friends with Mason and Mason was in the episode after Matt left but Mason didn’t even mention Matt leaving. Hunter, who at the time was believed to be Evie's cousin, did not go to their [Matt & Evie's] wedding and did not say goodbye to Evie. I know a few people went to Matt and Evie's wedding but it didn’t really seem like much of a farewell despite everyone knowing they were leaving.

When comes to characters being memorable or not really comes down to individual viewer!. -

She hasn’t mentioned her grandma Diana, not even once!. It could be interesting seeing Diana again but I think Olivia would have soon told Diana where to go and sent her packing. I loved seeing Morag vs Diana in 2005, it was like Morag was faeing her past evil self. -
I think Hannah would have had all Tori's storylines if she had stayed on the show for longer. I think Tori probably would not have been created. Hannah could very easily have become a doctor and hooked up with Nate and Ash and been Robbo's helper . . But I do think early Tori seemed more mature than Hannah but now I think Tori is a bit immature at times.

Her character was very different in 2013. She seemed a lot more nasty. It was fun seeing Morag being the nicer sister and telling off Celia for her rudeness when 25 years ago it was the other way around.

Roo Stewart - Justine Clarke & Georgie Parker

Did anyone think when Ruth returned in 2010 she was going to be a more multi dimension character and maybe start out with bad girl and redeem herself over time. When Ruth returned I really felt she was someone with plenty of secrets and thought that she was going to be a bad girl. But instead she just turned into another older female character on show. Her main purpose is just family for Alf to talk to. I guess Geogie is happy to just have steady work and since she lives in Sydney it suits her. I think the reason Martha return from the dead is a plot device for when Geogria Parker wants time off and Ruth can leave the Bay without having to create an excuse like with Irene/Lynne when she goes off to London for panto. -

I wish Leah and Dan had a child together as that child could be a teen by now. Despite there being long absent at times VJ is first Australia soap character to grow on screen. -
Martin "Ash" Ashford - George Mason
j.laur5 replied to standbyme's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
Ash expected everyone to forgive his sister after Billie caused so much trouble when she first arrived. I actually dislike Ash most in his final months as just got so annogant in thinking he was advove law. -
Martin "Ash" Ashford - George Mason
j.laur5 replied to standbyme's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
I hate how arrogant Ash was in 2018 by taking law into his own hands. All he was doing was wanting revenge on Robbo. Robbo was not responsible for Kat's death or her baby as it was Kat's choice to break the law and go on the run. I felt it was pretty low the way he spoke to Tori and Justin as both were trying to help him not get into trouble by law. I know Brax took the law into his own hands at times but at least Brax was doing it to protect his family or someone else. -

Sadly lot of actors don’t get acting work and they look elsewhere for work. You can’t stay on H&A forever because actors get tired of their character. A lot of the time it’s actually not the actor's choice . -
Celia seemed a lot more nasty in 2012-2013 . It was interesting seeing Morag telling Celia off for being rude. 24 years earlier it was the other way around.
