Lance and Martin have some luck at last and Bobby fears for Pippa’s marriage.

Extended Summary

At the store, Martin and Lance tell Celia that the sausages from the stand have gone, claiming someone stole them while they were both busy elsewhere. Celia tells Alf they were insured but it turns out Martin forgot to post the policy. The revelation is enough to make Celia want to sit down, leaving Martin and Lance quite edgy. She agrees with Alf’s suggestion to get some replacement sausages for the stand. At the school, Andrew and Steven are chatting after hours, with Andrew noting he’s heard from Stacey and she’s doing well in LA. He mentions his theory that the shark’s been attracted by a food source and how Zac wasn’t interested which is why he was trying to get the class involved until Don put a stop to it. Steven points out there’s nothing to stop them working on it after school hours.

Carly arrives at the Diner and shows Bobby the earring that Zac gave her, saying it’s Pippa’s. Bobby is incredulous, saying Pippa would never cheat on Tom, and bets Carly one of Pippa’s home-cooked meals she’s right. At the house, Tom is doing the books while Pippa sets the table, complaining about Tom inviting Zac for dinner. Zac comes in during the conversation and presents Pippa with a handful of wild flowers. Bobby and Carly also arrive and asks if it’s okay for Bobby to stay for dinner. Pippa complains she might have to make more sauce but Zac is attentive towards her, saying he’ll do it. Both Bobby and Carly look worried.

At the mobile home, Lance is on the phone to someone, apparently the hospital, asking if any sick people have come in, while Martin tries to work out when Celia will die based on her and the cat’s respective weights. He says she’ll die first thing in the morning. When morning comes, Lance and Martin go to the store where Martin suggests Lance help Celia out. Although Lance isn’t happy with the prospect of ending up with a dead body on his hands, Celia agrees, since it’s Alf’s day off. Celia comments she had a poor night’s sleep and Lance isn’t reassured when she says it was probably something she ate.

At the Diner, Carly tries to convince Bobby she’s right about Zac and asks Matt if he’d buy someone flowers if he wasn’t interested in her. The two girls head into the kitchen to continue their argument, leaving Matt and Andrew at the counter, so Andrew helps himself to some coffee. He asks Matt if there have been any further sightings, hoping there’s still time for his Save the Shark campaign. At the store, Celia is having to redo the shelves that Lance was stacking, since he didn’t put the ones with the more recent used by date at the back. She tells him about a hundred year old lady who died after drinking out of date condensed milk. Zac and Bobby are both in the store and Zac buys some chocolates. When Celia comments that Zac makes her feel faint, Lance panics and runs to the hot dog stand to tell Martin something’s happening. Martin quickly realises he’s overreacting and sends him back.

Bobby goes back to the Diner and tells Carly about the chocolates Zac bought. Carly thinks this is more evidence but Bobby says they don’t know they’re for Pippa. At the school, Andrew’s class are leaving when he tells them he needs volunteers to help him track down the shark’s food source. Emma is keen until she learns it’s after school. Steven tells her and Viv that he’s going to be there.

Alf arrives at the store shortly before Lance. Celia, crouched by one of the shelves, feels dizzy and falls over, prompting Lance to try and phone an ambulance. He admits that Martin bought out of date sausages and the cat died after eating them. Celia realises she had one too and asks Alf to take her to a doctor. After she’s gone out to the car, Alf winds Lance up by saying Celia will probably die of food poisoning and he’ll visit him in prison. Lance goes to see Martin and admits he confessed about the sausages. Martin is annoyed but becomes worried when he learns Celia is in hospital.

At the Diner, Matt tells Carly, Steven and Andrew that the shark watchers found a load of sausages washed up on the beach. Viv and Emma arrive to join Andrew and Steven; Viv has talked Emma into coming as an excuse to spend time with Steven. Realising no-one else is coming, Andrew says they’ll split up and Emma volunteers to go with him, leaving Steven and Viv together. Pippa is sewing when Zac turns up and tells her he’s lonely. He’s amused by her anger at him and presents her with the chocolates. Pippa tells him to leave but he says he won’t be gone long because Tom’s invited him for dinner. After he’s left, Pippa throws the chocolates to the ground in frustration.

Back at the store, Celia complains about not getting to see a doctor and the nurses just pointing her in the direction of the coffee machine. Alf prepares some medicine for her and tells her she needs to dissolve her partnership with Lance and Martin. Celia isn’t happy with the idea of giving up but accepts he’s right. She goes to see them and signs a contract. After she’s gone, Matt approaches the pair and asks them about the sausages. When Lance mentions the dead cat, he says he wondered when it would turn up: It ran out in front of his car and got a knock on the head, crawling off somewhere to die. The boys aren’t too downhearted because they’ve got their stall back.

Tom is using the exercise bike but is annoyed when both Pippa and Carly worry he’s overdoing it and storms out. Pippa says he only seems to get on with Zac these days. Carly checks the pantry and finds the chocolates. She asks where they came from and Pippa says Tom brought them back from rehab, shutting down her attempts to ask further questions. Carly takes the chocolate to the Diner and shows them to Bobby, who admits they’re the ones Zac bought but still isn’t convinced. Carly is though and wants to tell Tom but Bobby warns her not to: A shock like that could give him another stroke.
