Marty was a tourism guru who Roo, Romeo and Indigo met up with while attending an expo in Hawaii. He reflected on the fact that his position meant he was basically being paid to go surfing and was impressed with Indi, offering her a job. Even though she turned him down, he was pleased for her when she married Romeo during the trip.

Roo later attempted to make small talk with him to try and avoid talking to Sid, who she introduced to Marty, prompting Marty to realise she was attracted to Sid and advise her to go for it.
