Nick Grimshaw stars in Home and Away cameo

Nick Grimshaw, host of BBC Radio 1’ss Breakfast Show, is to feature in Home and Away’ss London episodes when they air in May 2014.

The Radio 1 DJ, who took over the coveted breakfast slot from Chris Moyles in September 2012, filmed a cameo appearance on the streets of London earlier this week.

Little has been revealed about Grimshaw’ss role in the wider London storyline, which has been confirmed to feature Darryl ‘sBrax’s Braxton (Steve Peacocke), Heath Braxton (Dan Ewing), Casey Braxton (Lincoln Younes), Bianca Scott (Lisa Gormley) and Ricky Sharpe (Bonnie Sveen).

The London episodes form part of a “dramatic new storyline”, in which a number of central characters embark “on a desperate fight to hang onto what is most important in life – love and family”.

Greg Barnett, Channel 5’ss Commissioning Editor, commented, “Although we can’st reveal much about the storyline at present I can promise fans this is going to be one not to miss. It’s great to have the show filming these very special episodes in the UK and as a huge fan myself I’sm very, very excited!”
