The forum is in a normal and stable condition again, after our earlier problems. Appologies to anybody affected. It seemed the forum became infected with a virus earlier this week. I'm unaware as to how serious it was, as I managed to avoid being infected. It doesn't appear to have affected Firefox users, but might have affected Internet Explorer users accessing the forum today. If you think you may have risked infection, please run a virus checker as soon as possible....

Daniel, who started work in his senior position in 2005, has handed over the mantle to Leigh McGrath and Faith McKinnon, who will jointly take care of things in the Bay until a new Script Producer is appointed in the new year. Due to the advance writing of the show, Daniel's work will continue to be seen into 2007. BTTB wishes Dan the best of luck for the future....
Congratulations to Home and Away writer Sam Meikle for his win at the 39th Annual AWGIE awards which were announced last week in Sydney. The winning script was for Episode 4121, the episode of Flynn's (Joel McIllroy) death. It was up against three Neighbours episodes. Contrary to other awards, the best writer won, as the awards are judged on the scripts, not the final product. Congratulations Sam!...
After months of reassurance that there would be no stars from their own network on this year's Dancing With The Stars, Channel Seven has done another backfilp with popular Summer Bay star Chris Hemsworth signing on for the show's 5th season. After network pressure that the show lacked a "high profile, spunky, male conmtestant" Seven caved in and asked Hemsworth to consider, even though he had declined two times already. Lucky for them he committed. Also confirmed for this year's dance off are Andrew Gaze, Tamsyn Lewis, Anthony Koutoufides, Tom Waterhouse, Gary Sweet, Fiona Falkiner, Kerry Armstrong, Amanda Keller and...

Many Australian viewers have recently been wondering what has happened to the show's opening titles and world famous theme tune. Recently, the show has started going straight from the recap to the day's episode, removing the opening titles usually sandwiched in between. Well, Australia's 'The Courier-Mail' reports that this won't be forever. They report that a Seven spokesperson has confirmed that the theme and titles will be brought back "once they get through this run of bad luck on Summer Bay". Apparently, with so much happening at the moment, they need every second of airtime possible, and cutting the opening...
