Home and Away Spoilers – Cash threatens to headbutt new recruit Richie

Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Cash can’t escape Richie as he infiltrates his social life, while Eden and Remi discuss their musical future.

Richie (Rocco Forrester-Sach) recently made his arrival at Yabbie Creek police station, where David (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) introduced him to Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) as the station’s newest probationary constable.

Only a week out of the academy, Richie was keen to make a strong start, but Cash soon found his enthusiasm hard work.

Their early shifts together were awkward enough, before things became more complicated when Richie crossed paths with Abigail (Hailey Pinto).

After learning that Abby was Cash’s sister-in-law, Richie asked her for advice on how to get on Cash’s good side. Abby mischievously claimed that Cash was a prankster, and that Richie would earn his respect by getting him with a good one.

Richie duly planted a whoopee cushion on Cash’s chair at the station, leaving Cash mortified in front of David and unimpressed with the new recruit.

Abby later apologised to Richie, and with sparks flying between the pair, they soon agreed to go on a date.

The date went well, but Cash remained unconvinced—especially when Richie turned up the next morning with Abby bringing him coffee at the station.

Next week, Cash’s patience is tested again when Richie spots him out jogging and suggests they could go for a run together sometime.

Cash quickly shuts the idea down, prompting Richie to point out that Cash clearly doesn’t like him much.

Cash insists it isn’t about liking him, as they simply work together, but the exchange tells Richie all he needs to know.

Abby later confronts Cash over his attitude, pointing out that Richie is putting in a lot of effort and getting nothing back. Cash tries to avoid the conversation, leaving Abby to ask Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) why her husband has such a problem with Richie.

Eden can only suggest that Cash and Richie are from very different worlds, but Abby makes it clear she wants Cash to give her new boyfriend a chance. Eden then decides she may be able to do better than simply talk to Cash.

When Cash arrives home, he finds Eden cooking and immediately senses something’s up. The size of the chicken is one warning sign, and the four place settings at the table are another.

Cash quickly realises what Eden’s planned, just as Abby and Richie arrive for lunch!

Eden urges him to play nice, and Cash is forced into an awkward double date.

The meal is strained from the start, with Eden and Abby trying to keep the conversation moving while Cash puts on a brave face and gives very little away.

Eden asks Cash to explain why he became a police officer, leading him to simply mention that his foster father was a cop.

When the same question is put to Richie, his answer only confirms Cash’s suspicions. Richie talks about liking the idea of working in a team and keeping the streets safe, but also reveals that his mum is a huge Die Hard fan and that he grew up watching 90s cop movies.

Cash finds the answer telling, laughing that it makes complete sense.

After lunch, Cash heads straight to the station and tells David that he can’t face another shift with Richie, genuinely concerned that he may feel the need to “headbutt him“.

David thinks he’s being dramatic, but Cash is clear that Richie now feels unavoidable. He’s in the workplace, and he’s in Cash’s home life now that he’s dating his sister-in-law.

Richie soon arrives for the night shift with coffees, still under the impression that lunch went well. He even suggests that, since Abby and Eden like spending time together, the four of them could go to the movies next time.

Cash is horrified… next time?!

Elsewhere, Eden and Remi (Adam Rowland) reach a decision over the song they’ve been working on together.

The track began after Eden used Remi’s journal about the aphasia he’d experienced after brain surgery as the starting point for some lyrics. Remi was initially furious that Eden had drawn from something so private, but he later came round after hearing the finished song.

Having now finished recording it, Eden is convinced they’ve made something special, though Remi is wary of getting carried away too quickly.

He wants a second opinion, but with Sonny (Ryan Bown) not around, Remi isn’t keen to ask Cash, pointing out that he’ll like anything Eden has worked on.

When Cash does listen, he’s full of praise, but Remi doesn’t find the feedback especially useful—he needs constructive criticism rather than encouragement from Eden’s husband.

Remi then takes the track to Justin (James Stewart), asking for an honest opinion. Justin listens carefully and tells Remi it’s the best he’s heard them play, and that he didn’t know that things had got that bad during his recovery.

Remi explains the song captures what he’s been through better than he could put into words himself.

The feedback means a lot, but Justin leaves Remi with one question—what are he and Eden going to do with the song now?

Eden and Remi talk through their options. They hadn’t planned much beyond recording it, and Remi wonders whether releasing it would mean putting it out under the old Lyrik name.

Eden suggests they could use a different name instead, avoiding the pressure and baggage that’d come with Lyrik.

Ultimately, she leaves the decision with Remi. It’s his song and his story, so she’ll support whatever he wants to do.

Justin later gives Remi another push when he asks whether they’ve picked a release date. Remi admits he’s still unsure whether he wants the song out there at all, as it’s so personal.

Justin understands, but gently points out that something being hard or scary doesn’t necessarily mean Remi shouldn’t do it. Once the song is released, it’s out there and behind him.

Later, Remi tells Eden he’s made his decision. He wants to release the track.

Is this the beginning of a new musical era for the former bandmates?
