Spoiler Round-Up – Casting News, Fighting & A New Romance

A round-up of some of the spoiler related news we’ve learned over the past week or so….

Casting News

Actor Luke McKenzie has been cast in the role of Patrick Stanwood. The actor, perhaps best known for his roles as Nash Taylor in Wentworth and Shannon Taylor in Winners & Losers, shared a photo on Instagram whilst filming at Palm Beach last week.

It’s currently unknown as to whether the character of Patrick will be a guest or a more permanent fixture in the bay.

Not a bad office… #homeandaway #summerbay #patrickstanwood

Ash vs. John!

In other news, some of the scenes filmed last week at Palm Beach saw more drama for John Palmer (Shane Withington) as he got into a heated argument with Ash (George Mason).

Paparazzi captured Ash forcefully pinning John up against a pillar as Marilyn, Alf and Patrick struggled to break up the fight.

Noteworthy is the fact that John is sporting a large dressing on his head. Whilst we know that John will end up with a life-threatening bleed on the brain this week on Australian screens, these newly filmed scenes will not air until next year – could the bleed eventually become more serious than first thought?

Alternatively, could John also be injured in the incident which leaves Marilyn with apparent burns down her left hand side, as reported last week?

Could he even have been involved somehow in the death of Ash’s sister Billie, whose memorial service on the beach was filmed only a few weeks ago?

Stay tuned….

Matt & Evie!

A new couple has also become revealed over the past few weeks, with the paps capturing several romantic scenes filmed between Evelyn MacGuire (Phillipa Northeast) and Matt Page (Alec Snow).

Australian viewers have recently seen Evie embark on a “friends with benefits” arrangement with Mason Morgan, whilst still struggling to come to terms with the deaths of her twin brother Oscar and aunt Hannah in the explosion at the caravan park.

To top it all off, her boyfriend Josh Barrett later went on the run after being sentenced to 25 years in prison for the manslaughter of Charlotte King.

The caravan park incident also brought about heartbreak for Matt, with girlfriend Maddy Osborne having her arm amputated due to her injuries. Whilst Matt was all set to leave with bay with Maddy as she went off to the city for rehab, Maddy left without him after concluding that he wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Summer Bay.

Could it finally be ‘happily ever after’ for these two?
