As he finally succumbs to his disease, he may wish to return to the place where they fell in love/were happiest. He was my favourite character, so it would be nice to have some closure with that storyline. The only people that would have really known them were Alf and Irene. Irene was Peta's foster mum though, so it would be a good storyline for her. Marilyn (I think she left before Edward arrived though!) and Leah would have known them briefly. Or if they want to forget the illness together (which wouldn't be right!), they could return with a family of their own. I think it's possible for Nick Parrish to fit into the current show. Maybe now in charge of the station. He had good moral values and could work well with the crime element of the show that doesn't seem to be going away. And he would know Alf, Irene and Maz so not a complete stranger. I'm all for bringing characters back but only full time or for one or to episodes. These month long stints are what seems to ruin characters. Peta and Edward would be good. Correct Peta's foster parrents were Joel and Nathalie Nash I alway's thought it was a shame Peta and Edward left so soon. But I think it's now to late to bring them back. They left in 2000 I think.
