[home and away 1988-2000]

Does anyone remember Home and Away being shown on Living back from 1999-2003, I was just wondering though does anyone know if anything was cut out of the Omnibus edtions or were they unedited?

What did they show on Living? Were they vintage episodes or current episodes at that time?

They were vintage episodes but I don't remember them ever showing omnibuses of these episodes.

In 1999 Living showed episodes from 188 from 1988 to 707 from 1991. Then jumped to 1920 from 1996 to mid 1998. Though some of the later episodes were moved to a sister channel called Trouble. Through these eps Living went through phases of screening omnibus additions at the weekend.

I really hope a channel decides to show old episodes of H&A again. I think a channel like WATCH could show 90's eps in an evening slot.

And episodes 2159-2163 have now become available at the usual place. Thank you! It's interesting to see a block of episodes back to back like that, you can get a real sense of the show in 1997. I still consider 1997 as the final chapter in the 'Golden Era'.

I've just watched them. Really enjoyed it! It really is hard to believe that 2013 H&A is the same show. Worlds apart.

I still consider 1997 as the final chapter in the 'Golden Era'.

As do I, I've often found that it seems to get eclipsed by 1995/1996 and as a result is extremely underrated. Obviously it wasn't perfect but Pippa's coma/recovery, Isobel's appearance (both of which became intertwined somewhat with Bert and Isobel's romance) and Irene/Saul/Paul are the standouts to me.
