Bretto Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2010 Episode 42 On Sunday morning, Nina returns home after taking a trip to Pleasantview to see old friends. Nina: I’m back! Alison: Hi! How was Pleasantview? *hugs Nina* Nina: It was good. How was the party? Alison: Fantastic. Nina: At least I signed the card before I left. Any phone calls for me while I was away? Alison: You got a phone call from Dina. Nina: I don’t know anyone called Dina. Or Melissa. Alison: Can’t you at least talk to her? Nina: No! To me, they don’t exist. Alison: Fair enough. She just wanted to talk to you. Nina: Don’t care. She is NOT my sister and NEVER will be! At the homeless shelter, Alex and Carina are continuing to talk. They’ve been talking for hours. Alex: So Mum was locked out of the house for two hours before Julianna came in using her spare set of keys. Carina: That must have been so embarrassing being locked out of your own home. Alex: Well it was better than Jaycob’s idea of smashing open a window. *Both laugh* Carina: Have you ever thought of going home to your family? Alex: I do. But I don’t want people on my back about injuring Seru. Carina: I understand. I want to leave the shelter but they put a roof over my head and clothing on my back. Where will I go then? Alex: If I do return home, I’ll find you somewhere to live. Carina: You would? Alex: I would. *smiles* Would you like to go out and have some fun? Carina: Sure. I would like to go out with my new friend. *As Alex and Carina leave the homeless shelter, Amy (who is coming back from visiting her cousins in Wattle Grove) sees them and is very shocked* When Amy gets home, she immediately rings Seru and Christine. They come over to Amy’s house in a flash. Seru: What’s the emergency? Amy: I saw Alex when I was coming back from my cousins place. *Christine nearly jumps out of the armchair* Christine: Are you serious? Where is he? Amy: He was walking out of some homeless shelter in Holsworthy. Seru: Did you get the name? Amy: I think it was called ‘Uniting Care’. Seru: Who was he with? Amy: A girl. Christine: I’m going straight over to that homeless shelter and bring him back home. I need to find out what’s been going on. Thanks for telling me Amy. Amy: Anytime Mrs Oloaga. Christine: Please. Call me Christine. Amy: Okay Christine. *smiles* Meanwhile at Brock’s house, Jenny is vacuuming the living room floor when suddenly she feels light headed. Jenny: Oh dear. I feel so dizzy. *Suddenly, Jenny collapses and is left lying on the floor. When Brock gets home, he sees Jenny on the floor and runs over to her* Brock: Jen! Wake up Jen! Can you hear me Jen? *starts to cry* *Jenny still remains unconscious* ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF ALISON PATTERSON’S JOURNEY - Alex returns home with Carina as Christine drives to the homeless shelter to collect him. - Year 8 students start their half yearly exams while Alison and the girls study for their upcoming exams. - Jenny finds out that the cause of her collapse is because she’s overworked - Erin leaves town in disgrace WHEN ALISON PATTERSON’S JOURNEY CONTINUES Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jessica walks out of the kitchen as Alex and Carina go inside. Jessica: Alex!!!! You’re back! *goes over and hugs him. Then suddenly, she slaps him in the face* Alex: What was that for? Jessica: That’s for leaving! We were worried sick about you! Alex: I’m sorry. Jessica: The boys were worried about you. Alison and her friends were worried about you. And the whole family was worried for you. We thought you were dead or abducted! Alex: I had to leave! Nobody gives a damn about me anyway! The only reason I came back was because I have my exams tomorrow. Once they’re done, I’m hitting the road! *walks into his bedroom and slams the door* Carina: Do you want me to leave? Jessica: No. Stay where you are! *Carina sits down on the sofa* Jessica: What’s your name? Carina: Carina. Jessica: Well Carina. Where did you find my brother? Carina: He stayed at the homeless shelter where I’ve been living. Jessica: Are you homeless? Carina: I’ve been homeless all my life. Jessica: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Carina: Why does Alex hate his family so much? Jessica: He doesn’t hate us. He reckons that people have turned against him because of a rugby league incident. Carina: He told me about that on the night he arrived. Jessica: No one is mad at him. Some people were just upset at the time. By the way, how old are you? Carina: 15. But I’ll be 16 in September. Jessica: Would you like to stay over at my friend’s house tonight? Carina: Who’s your friend? Jessica: Alexis Thorpe. She’s really lovely. Carina: I’ll give her a ring. *walks over to the phone and calls Alexis* Meanwhile at the hospital, Nurse Simone Bevan is talking to Alison and Brock about why Jenny collapsed. Nurse Bevan: The reason that Jenny collapsed is that she’s overworked. Brock: She’s a very strong lady. I try to help out but she insists that she does it. Nurse Bevan: There is no damage to the baby if that’s what you were wondering. Alison: That’s a relief. Nurse Bevan: We would like to keep her in overnight for some tests. Then she can go home tomorrow. Brock: That’s fine. I’m just glad she isn’t hurt. Nurse Bevan: She’s very lucky. Well, I leave you to it. *walks away* Brock: I’ll stay with Jen. You get a good nights rest Alison. Alison: I will. *leaves the hospital* The next morning, Alex arrives back at school to sit his half-yearly exams which the whole of Year 8 are doing. Sumara: Hi Alex. Alex: Hey. What exam have we got today? Sumara: English. Alex: Thanks. *Alex walks over to the gymnasium and sees Catherine standing there* Catherine: Alex. I need to talk to you. Alex: GET LOST!!! Catherine: I only just… Alex: NO!!!! *Catherine walks away in tears. As she does so, Riggot and the rest of the boys approach Alex* Riggot: Alex? Alex: I suppose you’re all here to tell me that your friends with me anymore. It’s okay. I can accept rejection. Leon: Listen bro… Alex: I don’t care anymore! I’m done listening! I’m never playing rugby with you ever again! Tyson: What are you saying Alex? Alex: It’s pretty obvious isn’t it? You and the rest of the guys don’t want to be my friends anymore all because I injured Seru! Elijah: We’re not angry at you. Alex: Then why didn’t one of you’s come and see if I was all right. It tore me up when I injured Seru. I thought to myself ‘What if I ruined his chances of playing for the NRL?’ *turns his back away from the boys* Riggot: *looks concerned* Alex… Alex: DO ME A FAVOUR AND JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! *The boys walk away sadly while Alex puts his head in his face and begins to cry* Meanwhile in the TAFE library, Alison and her friends are preparing for their exams which take place next week. Alison: What exam do we have first? Rachael: English I think. Melissa: I’m so going to ace the History exam. Vicki: You’re quite the historian aren’t you? *laughs smugly* Melissa: I’ve always loved Ancient Rome. But I liked Ancient Egypt better. Kat: Yeah. Especially when Queen Nefertiti was discovered to be Tutankhamen’s mother. Sylvia: That was rather interesting. Amy: Well the good thing about the exams is that we leave when we are finished. Alison: I wonder if Erin will come back for the exams. Vicki: I doubt it. She’s indefinitely suspended. *giggles* Alison: I hope she never comes back. I know what you did to her cat was wrong Vicki but she had no right to callously humiliate you. Vicki: Thanks Alison. I’m glad that you have accepted me as a true friend. Rachael: Same here. *The girls return to their studying* In a block of flats not far from the local shopping centre, Erin is loading some boxes into her Holden Camira. She is moving back to Bendigo with her parents because she doesn’t want to be seen in Civic anymore. Erin: *to herself* I will not miss living here. It’s better living in Bendigo anyway! *Erin finishes putting her belongings into the boot and gets inside the car and drives off at high speed* Erin: SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once he finishes his English exam, Alex walks out of the gymnasium rather quickly. Jessica: How did you go in the exam? Alex: I reckon I aced it. *Riggot approaches Alex* Riggot: Don’t shut us out man. *Alex just walks away* Jessica: Come back Alex! *to Riggot* I’m sorry. He needs more time. Riggot: I’ll go after him. *runs after Alex* Jessica: *to herself* I just wish this wasn’t happening! *When Alex gets home, he immediately goes into his bedroom and starts to cry* Alex: *to himself* What have I done? I’ve lost all my friends because I injured Seru. I think running away from home solved the issue. But that just made it worse. Episode 44 Once TAFE has finished for the day, Alison goes to Darling Harbour to begin her first day working at the cake shop owned by Kat’s grandmother Sheila Knott. Sheila: Would you like to help Clarice with the cakes? Alison: I would like that. *Sheila leads Alison to the kitchen out back and introduces her to Clarice* Clarice: We put the batter into these cake tins *points to several cake tins on the rack* Alison: Okay. What should I do now? Clarice: I need you to pour the batter into one of our cake tins. *Alison pours the chocolate batter into a heart shaped cake tin* Alison: This is fun! Clarice: It is isn’t it? Alison: I think I’m going to enjoy working here. *Alison and Clarice continue to pour the batter into the cake tins* Meanwhile at Melissa’s house, Dina is in the living room when Nina opens the front door. Dina: Melissa? Nina: No, Dina. It’s me. Dina: Nina? What are you doing here? Nina: I came to talk to you. By the way, how was Ibiza? Dina: It was good. How was everyone back in Pleasantview? Nina: They’re doing good. Dina: What did you want to talk about? Nina: I came by to say that I forgive you over that drama with Melissa’s mother. Dina: I didn’t expect you to forgive us. We accused you for something terrible. Nina: I’m sorry for my little spat as well. I just wanted a little payback. Dina: I know. *Dina and Nina hug* Nina: If it’s okay with you, I’m going to be living at Alison’s for another month. Dina: That’s fine. Come back whenever you want. When Jessica arrives home from school, she hears crying from Alex’s bedroom. Jessica: Alex? Alex: LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! Jessica: Why are you shutting everybody out?!? We just want to help you. Alex: I DON’T NEED ANY HELP!!! I JUST WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE!!! *Jessica walks into the kitchen and begins to cry. As she does so, Christine arrives home with an armful of groceries* Christine: I’m back. *places the groceries on the kitchen counter* Jess will you help me put these groceries away? *notices Jessica in tears* What’s wrong? Talk to me Jess. Jessica: *wipes away her tears with a tissue* It’s Alex. Christine: What wrong with him? *looks concerned* Jessica: I think you should be the one to ask him. *Christine goes into Alex’s room* Christine: I want to talk to you Alex. Alex: Get lost! Christine: Do not speak to me like that Alex! What has gotten into you? Alex: Nothing! Christine: Something must be wrong! All you do is cry, get defensive and shut everybody out. Alex: Why do you care? You DON’T know what’s happening to me at school! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! *Christine walks out of the room sadly* Later that evening, Alex walks into his mother’s bedroom. Christine: Alex? What are you doing up at 1:30 in the morning? Alex: Mama! *starts to cry* *Christine goes over to Alex and hugs him* Alex: I can’t do anything right! Everyone hates me because I accidentally injured Seru! Christine: They don’t. Alex: They do! *cries harder* Christine: Shush… *continues to hug Alex* ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF ALISON PATTERSON’S JOURNEY - Carina decides to enrol at Civic High - While the Year 8 Maths exam takes place, Alex decides to skip it and go to Macquarie University - Jenny decides to give her house to Alison WHEN ALISON PATTERSON’S JOURNEY CONTINUES Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
