Martha was sitting at home with the girls when Kayla spoke. "Mum." "Yeah." Martha spoke clearly not in the mood. "This is boring." "Well what would you like to do?" Martha asked. "I don't know go to the beach, or the diner or something." "I'm not in the mood right now, Kayla. We'll go later." "Please mum." Jade begged. "I said no!" Martha yelled. Both girls looked at each other bewildered that their mother had shouted at them. "I'm sorry." Martha yelled. "Forget it." Jade huffed, walking out of the room. "Just because you and Jack are having an argument you don't need to take it out on us." Kayla shouted as she went after her sister. _______ It had been twenty minutes since the girls had been sitting in their rooms and neither had said a word. "I've got it." Jade smiled. "Got what?" Kayla asked. "How mum and Jack can get back together." Kayla glanced up. "How?" "What if they I don't know, were in the same place, same time? She suggested a smile appearing. "With a picnic." Kayla added. _____________ "Hey mum where you going?" the girls asked later on that day. "I'm meeting Jack. He texted me asking me to meet him at the park." Martha smiled. "Really?" Jade asked faking an innocent smile. "Yeah." Martha told her. "So you're going to see Luc and Mattie." "Okay." The girls nodded. _________ "Right girls be good." Martha warned. Luc and Mattie had arrived half an hour later and were going to take them to the beach. "Yes mum." They both replied sarcasticly. ________ As Martha arrived at the park she could see Jack coming from the other direction. She then glanced at the picnic between them. "Wow." Martha thought. "He's so sweet." "I can't believe she made a picnic." Jack thought. "Hi." Martha greeted. "Hey." Jack smiled. "Shall we sit down?" Martha suggested. "Sure." Jack replied. "You really didn't have to go through all that trouble." "What trouble?" Martha asked. "You know making the picnic. We could have gone to the diner or somewhere in the..." Jack began. "Wait." Martha stopped him. "I didn't make the picnic, I thought you did." "No." Jack shook his head. "Why would I?" "Well isn't that why you called me here?" "I called you here? You mean you called me here." Jack told her. "You texted me Jack." "No Martha. I think you texted me." "Wait. If I didn't text you and you didn't text me and Luc and Mattie are watching Kayla and Jade then something isn't right." "I agree." "What do you think we should do?" Martha asked. "Well I think we should eat it. They went through all that trouble to make it its ashame for it to go to waste." ________ "We need to talk." Martha said as her and Jack walked into the diner. "Yeah we do." Jack agreed. "Listen the truth is. I like you." She told him honestly. "I like you too." Jack told her. "Thats why I think we need to come to a decision on this brief."
