Episode 8133

Extended Summary

Tane and Felicity meet up on the beach. Tane asks if she has anything on and they start kissing. Felicity says they won’t have much time for this once the baby comes but Tane says he can’t wait. Felicity sees Remi and greets him but he only gives her the vaguest of acknowledgements. Meanwhile, Justin is wheeled towards theatre. Bree tells Leah and Cash that the internal bleeding hasn’t stopped so, despite the risks, the only chance is to repair the tear on his lung.

Kirby and Theo check out the deserted Lyrik house. Eden arrives back and tells them Remi isn’t keen on rehearsing with them. Kirby suspects he still doesn’t trust her and admits they didn’t get very far in the city. She suddenly hits on the idea of posting on social media that she’s returned to Lyrik. The others aren’t certain but she says she has to do something.

Remi is at the surf club when Marilyn gets an alert of Kirby’s post. Remi says nothing’s been decided yet and she shouldn’t have gone public. He gets a call from Bree, who says she’s worried about him and mentions him drinking alone. Remi realises Eden has spoken to her and says they should stop checking up on him.

Tane and Felicity arrive home in a clinch. Tane talks about converting Nikau’s room into a nursery and setting a chair up in there for her to breastfeed. Felicity says it could take her ages to get pregnant and even then they’ll have to wait nine months. Tane says he can’t wait to be a dad. At the hospital, Bree tells Leah and Cash that the surgery went well and Justin’s in recovery but he lost a lot of blood and there’s still a risk of organ failure. Leah decides she needs to call Theo and borrows Cash’s phone. However, she crumbles when he answers, prompting Cash to take over.

Remi arrives back at the Lyrik house where Kirby and Eden tell him about Justin being in hospital. He asks Kirby if her announcement means the contract issues are sorted. He also tells Eden to talk to him, not his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Cash greets Theo at the hospital and tells him he needs to be strong for Leah, pointing him in her direction and saying to call if he needs anything. Theo joins Leah and Bree at Justin’s bedside. Bree says he’s stable and they’re monitoring him. Leah explains about Vita Nova.

Kirby meets Marilyn by the coffee cart. Marilyn asks about the launch and Kirby says it didn’t feel right on her own. Marilyn understands sometimes you have to go on a journey to find out what you want. She admits that she hasn’t seen much of Roo recently and Roo has a private nurse looking after her now. Bree arrives and tells Kirby she has an idea to make things better.

Cash arrives home to find Tane and Felicity’s clothes scattered everywhere. Felicity appears, wearing only a robe, and Cash beats a hasty retreat. Felicity tries to retrieve her underwear, pointing out they both have businesses to run, but Tane drags her back to the bedroom.

Eden gets a text from Cash as Bree turns up. Eden leaves her to deal with Remi and heads outside. Remi takes his time acknowledging Bree when he comes through. Bree tells him she’s moving out so she won’t be tempted to check on him. Moments later, Kirby appears with her bags and announces she’s moving home. Outside, Cash has filled Eden in on what happened with Justin, Leah and Vita Nova, who he thought had been shut down. Bree appears with her cases and explains about Kirby moving in and her moving out: She is hoping to stay with Xander and Rose again.

At Justin’s bedside, Leah asks Theo about the launch and he tells her about Kirby rejoining Lyrik. Leah knows Justin would be delighted. She encourages Theo to go and join them, saying hearing Lyrik play again would give Justin another reason to wake up. At the Lyrik house, Eden and Kirby try to convince Remi to join them and point out that Kirby’s announcement has got a positive response from their fans. Theo turns up and says they have to make things work for Justin. Remi grabs his guitar and accepts that Lyrik rises.

Tane and Felicity arrive at Salt and Tane goes to order some pizzas after their session. Felicity sits with Cash and tells him that she sorted things with Tane after his pep-talk and they’re going to have a baby. Cash is pleased at the thought of being an uncle but wonders when Felicity wanted to be a mother. He gets a text and announces he’s on pizza duty. By the coffee cart, Bree finishes a phone conversation with Rose confirming she can move back in. She mentions Leah and Justin being at the hospital to Marilyn, who didn’t know.

Back at Salt, Tane comments to Felicity that they’ll have the house to themselves with Cash staying over with Eden. He says they can watch a movie if she’s too tired to “practice” further. Felicity is willing but says she has things to do there first. After Tane’s gone, she goes to the store room, retrieves some concealed pills and takes one.
