Extended Summary

Eden tells Bree she’s leaving part of a pizza for Remi. Bree is worried about Remi, feeling he’s been in a bad place recently, but Eden thinks that if it was that bad he’d have said something to her. Cash arrives and Eden wonders if Tane and Felicity will be joining them. Cash doesn’t think they will. Over the road, Felicity asks Tane what’s going on. Tane says he’s tried to be all right with not having children but he’s not. Felicity asks what that means for them and Tane says he doesn’t know. Felicity heads off to bed.

Remi arrives home, complaining slightly about the sound engineer having no idea what he was doing. Eden offers him the pizza but he says he’s not hungry and heads to the shower. Bree tries to insist to Eden that Remi is down but Eden is dismissive. She and Cash head off to bed. Next morning, Cash and Eden are walking by the beach. Cash thinks Eden was rude to Bree but Eden thinks Bree should try being Remi’s girlfriend instead of a doctor. Cash also tries to talk her into going to Kirby’s launch without success. Felicity passes them and snipes at Cash for talking to Remi, prompting Eden to comment she’s not the only one talking out of turn.

By the coffee cart, Forrest gives Kirby last minute instructions for the car picking her up with her outfit. He leaves her, and Theo appears. Kirby admits she’s nervous about doing the launch without the rest of the band. Theo thinks she can handle it and says he’ll be there anyway. They’re both disappointed that Leah and Justin won’t be there. Theo hasn’t heard from them and notes he’s stuck with Marilyn’s tofu casserole.

A banging sound resounds throughout a warehouse area: Justin is trying to smash a padlock on a door, where he and Leah are locked up. Leah tells him to stop and concludes that the people from the cult aren’t coming back and have left them there to die. Justin is determined to get out. Leah says they don’t know where they are. They are, in fact, in an isolated and abandoned factory complex.

Some time later, Leah wakes up. Justin is still trying to puzzle a way out. Looking at some pipes running over the top of the dividing wall, he notes the best way out might be to go up. Leah is uncertain but reflects that everyone thinks they’re on holiday and won’t know where to look when they do realise they’re missing. Justin says giving up will mean the cult win. Meanwhile, at Salt, Felicity complains to Cash about him getting Tane to talk to her. Tane then appears and Cash leaves them alone to talk. Tane tells Felicity to forget about what he said: You don’t get everything you want and she’s enough.

Kirby arrives at the venue, noticing a big poster of herself. She comments to Forrest that she wasn’t expecting a limousine to pick her up. She notices some flowers and, examining the cards, sees some are from Marilyn and some from Leah and Justin. She expresses disappointment that Remi and Eden aren’t there. Forrest encourages her to forget about them. Meanwhile, Remi belatedly emerges from the bedroom to greet Bree and Eden. Theo turns up, dressed for the launch, and encourages Eden and Remi to come with him. They both refuse. Theo says Kirby would be there if it was one of them, before leaving.

Theo meets up with Kirby at the venue, where she’s just finished a sound check. She asks if he spoke to Eden and Remi and he admits they’re not coming. Forrest sends Kirby to get changed. Meanwhile, Bree is heading into work, while Remi is lying on the settee and he and Eden are showing no sign of going anywhere. Bree also encourages them to go to the launch, saying they can’t move forward if they’re going back.

At the Parata house, Felicity tells Cash what Tane said but feels the fact he wants children will always be there. Cash leaves as Tane arrives back. Felicity tells Tane she’s changed her mind: She does want a family. She reminds him that she was uncertain about marriage and the land buy at first but is committed once she agrees to something. They hug. At the launch venue, Kirby has changed into a black gown with gloves. Looking through the curtain, she sees Theo chatting to people. Forrest approaches her and she says she can’t believe Remi and Eden didn’t come. Forrest tries to reassure her.

Justin is climbing up a beam towards the pipe, while Leah watches and frets. Justin eventually manages to reach up and grab the pipe. A short time later, he is climbing along it. However, it suddenly gives way, causing him to fall to the floor with the whole structure collapsing on top of him. First anxious and then panicking, Leah tries to rouse him.
